So what is the ?
• Equivalent of 3 A Levels.
• The focus is work related and practical, we work in partnership with McDonald's,
• Tesco, Waitrose, • Bournemouth University
and Salisbury Chamber of Commerce.
• A specialist course.
• If the triple is your pathway, you will take
13 Units, including 4 exams.
First Years BTEC Business
First Years carrying out a PESTLE analysis on a retail Business.
Which is the better option A Levels or BTEC ?
What pathways could BTEC lead to?
• 10% of all UK entries into University are with a BTEC Extended Diploma.
• 95% of Universities accept BTEC as an A Level equivalent
• Students from S6C with Level 3 BTEC qualifications have been accepted at Sussex, Bournemouth, UWE, and Cardiff
• Level 4/5 Apprenticeships are another option, which provide work-based training and often the option of a sponsored degree.
• Employment is also an option, with BTEC providing the skills and knowledge you need for work.
