Don Wright… a Proud Resident of

“Beacon Hill”!

Fourth of July is always a fun time for all with family and friends… barbeques and games. Although the rain postponed the event, everyone still had fun on the re-scheduled date. Some had too much fun and put our community at risk by using illegal fireworks and barbequing with an open fire on common grounds.

The Property Management Office received several phone calls about residents lighting off fireworks and again we must say… we cannot do anything unless you put it in writing. The Bridgewater Police should have been called immediately. If you don’t call the police and leave a message, you must put it in writing. Unless we have something in writing signed by the resident, we cannot do anything about it.

This is your community too and everyone needs to take on the responsibility of keeping it safe. Seeing someone do something illegal that puts others at risk is unacceptable. Your Board Members and Property Manager are here to protect everyone, but without the support of our homeowners it makes it difficult to proceed with the proper procedures when it comes to violations and fines.

We Need You To Put It In Writing…

New Towing Company Coming to Vanderhaven Farm Village IStarting on August 1st

In July’s newsletter you received a census form because our Property Management Company needs to update our records in order to respond to various community needs. When it came time for pool badges, our Board Members noticed a lot of the information for homeowners wasn’t updated or just wasn’t there. This is very important for our Property Management Company to have, so we would appreciate you taking the time to fill out the form and return it no later than October 31, 2014.

Don’t Forget Vanderhaven Farm Village I Annual Census Form

We l c o m e B l u e S t r e a k Transportation out of Middlesex to Vanderhaven Farm Village I. Starting August 1st they have been contracted to handle all our towing needs. In July’s newsletter we mentioned that 5 cars had to be towed in the past few months and our Property Manager will continue to monitor the property for illegal vehicles. Cars can be towed for several reasons such as failure to register your vehicle properly with Vanderhaven Farm, delinquencies on your account, abandoned vehicles and failure to properly maintain your vehicle.

Please know that we give our residents ample warning prior to towing. Your vehicle will be slapped with a sticker notifying you of the violation as well as a letter mailed to you. The next step will be a certified letter and if you do not take care of what

needs to be you will find yourself at Blue Streak Transportation writing out a check to get your vehicle back.

The rules are simple here so please… make it easy for all and follow them.

Geese – Please do not feed the geese! This just encourages them to keep coming back.

Garbage – Please put all garbage in pails, not on the ground in plastic bags. This just invites the geese and other animals over to feed.

PLEASE BE AWARE that the following modifications MUST be approved BEFORE they can be modified or installed:

• Deck installation• Paver patio installation• Any change to the patio

area• Window replacement (s)• Satellite dish installation• Storm door installation/

A lot of these forms can be found on the Vanderhaven web site.

Just a Few Reminders

Because of the importance of this information for us to have on hand, although we don’t want to do it, we are going to have to impose at $25 fine to those who have not returned it by October 31, 2014.

In our July newsletter we asked if anyone would be interested in starting up a new Traffic Safety Committee here at Vanderhaven Farm Village I.

Along with enforcement, the new Traffic Safety Committee can work together with the Board Members, Property Manager and be the liaison with the Bridgewater Police and work together for the safety of our community. We have a lot of people concerned so now’s the time to come forward and work with us. Our next Board Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 21st at 7PM… we’d love to have you there and work with you to keep everyone safe.
