Glass Breakage Warranty

Q: If a builder uses Tuscany in NHC will the new owner receive the GBW?• A: Yes. The Original Purchaser of the home receives the GBW and the Start Date for the warranty is at the time of the

date of escrow close.

Q: Is the builder covered by the GBW while waiting to sell the home?• A: No. The builder is not covered by the GBW while waiting to sell the home. If windows are broken while the home

is under construction or on the market they are not replaceable under the GBW.

Q: Is the GBW transferable?• A: Yes. Just like the rest of Milgard’s Full Lifetime Warranty, if the Original Purchaser sells the Home before ten (10)

years has elapsed after the Start Date, Milgard will automatically extend full coverage under this Warranty to the new owner(s) of the Home and any subsequent owners, until the tenth (10th) anniversary of the Start Date.

Q: What is covered under the GBW?• A:

• Homeowner occupied including townhomes, if the homeowner is directly responsible for maintenance of the structure.

• Tempered Glass• Annealed Glass• All grids including Simulated Divided Lites• Bays and Bows –Tuscany

Q: What glass types are NOT covered under the GBW?• A:

Q: Can one window in a house pack be Tuscany just for the GBW? How will service know?• A: Yes. Effective 9/07 the spacer will be stamped GBW for visual indication to service personnel.
