35th Anniversary of the Flight of Apollo-Soyuz Mission Celebration

Date: July 15, 2010 The Omega Boutique hosted a reception, organized by Novoye Russkoye Slovo newspaper, celebrating the 35th anniversary of the 1975 Apollo-Soyuz mission: the first-ever rendezvous in space between the US and former Soviet Union. The ASTP (Apollo Soyuz Test Project) was the last mission in the Apollo program and the first joint flight of the US and Soviet Union programs. Invited guests included U.S. Astronaut General Thomas Stafford, part of the Apollo-Soyuz crew, Cosmonauts Alexsei Leonov and Valery Kubasov, Russian Consulate VIPs and dignitaries, US VIPs and dignitaries, Russian/American Celebs, and VIP OMEGA Boutique customers. NRS has also invited major Russian TV channels and news agency to cover the event. Objective(s):

• To celebrate a great moment in history: the 1975 Apollo Soyuz mission and show OMEGA’s presence and importance on this Space Mission and other missions throughout history.
