Celebrating t Ije MeA time to be born: On October 15, 1955 in Augusta, Georgia a beautiful baby girl was born to the late Samuel and Rosa Lee Wright Yarbrough and named Virginia Loretta. The family affectionately called her "Loretta".
A time to learn, live and love: Virginia received her education from the public schools system in Richmond County, Georgia and graduated from George P. Butler Comprehensive High School. She later received an Associate degree in Business Management from Augusta Technical College. In 1997, Virginia received a Bachelors of Science degree from Brenau University and in 2000 she received her Masters of Science degree in Administration from Central Michigan University. Prior to her death, Virginia was pursuing her PhD. from the University of Phoenix. A Heart of gold and a Will of iron speak of her strength. Virginia was an honest person and a foot soldier for her children, David and Passion. She was a hard worker but never overlooked them providing a modest life for them and herself they were her happiness. Virginia was employed as a Department of the Army civilian employee and worked at Dwight D. Eisenhower Medical Center, Fort Gordon, Georgia, Tri-Care as a Marketing Specialist. In 2001, her aspirations led her overseas to Korea where she was employed with the United States Forces - Korea as a Marketing Director at Camp Red Cloud. After leaving Korea and returning to the United States, Virginia continued her employment as a Department of the Army civilian employee with Eisenhower Medical Center until her death.
A time to serve: Virginia loved the Lord. At an early age, she joined Keys Grove Baptist Church where she remained a life long member. In addition to her Christian service, Virginia provided more than 25 years of dedication to our nation, military communities, and our soldiers as a Army wife and a Department of the Army civilian.
A time to die: On Sunday, February 19, 2006, Virginia made the transition from this life into the presence of God©s domain. She leaves memories that will be forever cherished in the hearts of her loved ones her son, David (LaShannon) Martin, Florence, SQ her daughter, Passion (Roderick D.) Baker, Augusta, GA; six grandchildren, David, III, Donte©, Destiny and Chandler De©Mia Martin and Taylor Baker; three brothers, Samuel Yarbrough, Bobby Yarbrough, both of Augusta and Kelvin Yarbrough, Mansfield, OH; four surrogate grandchildren, Kwaneshia Miller, Knya and Shakila Hudson and Ginae Tomlinson; three sisters, Rosa L. (Steven) Martin, Augusta, Hazel Wolf and Georgene Yarbrough, both of Englewood, NJ; four aunts, a devoted aunt, Evelyn Stringer, Evelyn Wright, Betty Kemp and Ruth Golphin; two uncles, Ernest Yarbrough and Philip Yarbrough; two mothers-in-law, Lucinda Martin and Norma Jean Brown; very special friends, Catherine Murry, Barbara Swan, Sandy White and Lloyd and Margie Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
