2014-15 VPMA Board Election Bios For Officer Positions: Beth Duncan, Exterminating Unlimited, Inc., for the office of President. Beth is the Secretary/Treasurer of Exterminating Unlimited, Inc. (EUI). Beth has worked alongside her husband Craig since 1982, growing EUI from scratch. In 2011, EUI opened a new company, EUI EnviroPro, LLC to provide mold control solutions. As a woman-owned company employing 16 people, EUI recognizes the value in the three tier Association membership of CVPMA, VPMA and NPMA. Although Beth's work focus keeps her in the office, her commitment to education inspired her to obtain and maintain a Registered Technician license. She also successfully passed and maintains the VPMA Certified WDI Inspector designation. Beth has been serving on the VPMA Board of Directors since 2007, where she currently serves as Vice President and chairs the Scholarship Committee. She and Craig have been married for 32 years. They enjoy travelling, fishing and spending time on the water. Nick Lupini, Loyal Termite & Pest Control, Richmond, for the office of Vice President. Nick Lupini currently serves as the President of Loyal Termite & Pest Control in Richmond, VA. In 1977, Nick started in the pest control industry serving, over the years, as Route and Termite Technician, Sales and Sales Manager to Vice President, then President of Loyal. He holds his VPMA WDI Certification. Nick has served on VPMA’s Board of Directors for the last five years and currently holds an officer’s position as Secretary, chairing the Education Committee. He is a past chair of VPMA’s Safety Committee and continues to serve on CVPMA’s Grievance Committee. He has been on NPMA’s WDO Committee for the past five years, and this year became its Chair. He currently is serving his second two-year term on the NPMA Quality Pro Board of Directors. He resides with his wife, Gena, in Richmond, VA. Don Lenegar, Lenegar’s Pest & Moisture Services, LLC, for the office of Secretary. Don began working in the pest control industry in 1984 in Virginia Beach and is currently President/CEO of Lenegar’s Pest & Moisture Services LLC. Don has been very active in the Tidewater community, serving on the Board of the Tidewater Pest Control Association since 2003, winning its Presidents Award twice for outstanding dedication. He served as its President for 3 years, and is currently its Secretary, and chair of the Grievance Committee. Don has served on the Board of the Virginia Pest Management Association since 2008 as TPCA Liaison, Director and currently as the National Liaison. He also chairs the Association Outreach Committee. For Officer Positions:

Beth Duncan, Exterminating Unlimited, Inc., for the office of President.

Beth is the Secretary/Treasurer of Exterminating Unlimited, Inc.

(EUI). Beth has worked alongside her husband Craig since 1982,

growing EUI from scratch. In 2011, EUI opened a new company,

EUI EnviroPro, LLC to provide mold control solutions. As a

woman-owned company employing 16 people, EUI recognizes the

and NPMA. Although Beth's work focus keeps her in the office,

Nick Lupini, Loyal Termite & Pest Control, Richmond, for the office of Vice President.

Nick Lupini currently serves as the President of Loyal Termite &

Pest Control in Richmond, VA. In 1977, Nick started in the pest

control industry serving, over the years, as Route and Termite

Technician, Sales and Sales Manager to Vice President, then

President of Loyal. He holds his VPMA WDI Certification. Nick

has served on VPMA’s Board of Directors for the last five years

and currently holds an officer’s position as Secretary, chairing the

Education Committee. He is a past chair of VPMA’s Safety

Committee and continues to serve on CVPMA’s Grievance

Committee. He has been on NPMA’s WDO Committee for the past

five years, and this year became its Chair. He currently is serving his second two-year term on the

NPMA Quality Pro Board of Directors. He resides with his wife, Gena, in Richmond, VA.

Don Lenegar, Lenegar’s Pest & Moisture Services, LLC, for the office of Secretary.

Don began working in the pest control industry in 1984 in Virginia

Beach and is currently President/CEO of Lenegar’s Pest &

Moisture Services LLC. Don has been very active in the Tidewater

community, serving on the Board of the Tidewater Pest Control

Association since 2003, winning its Presidents Award twice for

outstanding dedication. He served as its President for 3 years, and

is currently its Secretary, and chair of the Grievance Committee.

Don has served on the Board of the Virginia Pest Management

Association since 2008 as TPCA Liaison, Director and currently

as the National Liaison. He also chairs the Association Outreach

Committee. He has also been a member of the NPMA’s WDO

Committee since 2010. Don holds his VPMA WDI Inspector Certification, is a VPMA Master Technician, and is also certified in nuisance wildlife. Don enjoys challenges. He has been a single parent for the last thirteen years, raising his two sons. They enjoy traveling the coast looking for the perfect wave to ride in the summer and snowboarding in the winter months. In working in this industry his #1 goal is simply trying to make a difference for the next generation, so they don’t stumble over the hurdles that we have cleared. He is working on increasing public awareness of who and what our association stands for. Brian Delaney, ProTech Pest Control of Virginia, Inc., for the office of Treasurer.

Brian Delaney began his career in the Pest Management industry in 1979 as a Pest Management Technician. His initial position was in the field of commercial pest management. In early 1980 he was promoted to Wood Destroying Insect Inspector and remained at that position for nearly three years. In August 1982 he was transferred to Virginia Beach, Virginia to open a branch office at that location for his past employer. Mr. Delaney remained as Branch Manager at this location until his promotion in August 1985 to Branch Manager at that company’s largest location in Falls Church, Virginia. In 1987 when Brian’s employer was purchased by an out-of-state firm he founded ProTech Pest Control. In 1996 he joined with James Selnow and Stephen Dodge to form ProTech Pest Control of Virginia where he remains as CEO. Mr. Delaney is currently a Chair of the Public Relations Committee with the Virginia Pest Management Association. He is a past president of VPMA, also

serving in the past as Director, Secretary, Vice President and Immediate Past President. He is a past recipient of the VPMA Industry Lifetime Stewardship Award. He has worked extensively throughout the pest management industry as a consultant and expert. Tom Mares, Mares Exterminating, for the office of National Representative.

Tom is a fourteen year veteran of the pest control industry. He founded Mares Exterminating in 2004 at the age of 24 and has taken it from a one-man operation to a full-service pest management company with a home repair division. Mares Contracting began as a small part of the company, only addressing wood rot and substructure repair. Over time, this division has evolved into a full service remodeling and repair company with a Class A Contractors License. Tom has been a member of the Tidewater Pest Control Association since 2007 and has held several key leadership positions. In his current role as President, he plays a critical role in fostering collaboration and communication between pest control providers and other industry stakeholders in the Hampton Roads region. He currently serves as a Director on VPMA’s Board and co-

chairs the WDI Committee. He resides in Hampton with his wife Natalie and two children. When Tom isn’t working or spending time with family, he can usually be found volunteering his time supporting local charities and other groups that benefit our local community.

For the position of Allied Director, one person being elected

Jason Leonard, Forshaw, Inc. for the office of Allied Director.

Jason is currently in his 20th year with Forshaw, Inc. He is the Western Regional Sales Manager, overseeing the Richmond, VA, Nashville, TN and Cincinnati, OH locations. Jason is heavily involved with the local associations across the state of Virginia and has been on the VPMA Board for over 12 years, which he still considers a major priority. In that time, he has chaired the Conference Committee and the Supplier Relations Committee playing a vital role in building VPMA’s relationship with our supplier members. Jason lives in Richmond, Virginia with his wife, Suzy, their three children and their one dog.

Ed Van Istendal, Ensystex, Inc. for the office of Allied

Director.

Ed was graduated from Penn State University with a B. S. in General Agriculture, and a minor in Entomology. He has worked with local, regional, and nationwide pest control companies. He has experience as a pest control technician, termite control technician, fumigator, sales representative, weed control technician, sales manager, technical director, branch manager and operations manager. He has co-owned and operated a pest control company in southeastern PA, has been the Technical Director of a Philadelphia area distributor, as well as Technical Director and sales generator for two nationwide pest control industry insurers. He has also represented nationwide pesticide manufacturers and distributors. Ed and his wife of over 40 years reside in Chester

County, PA. Ed has authored numerous articles for industry publications, and is a frequent speaker at conferences, seminars, and trade shows. He has served on a variety of National Pest Management Association Committees, is a certified pesticide applicator in PA, a certified pesticide dealer in NJ, a NY State Workplace Safety & Loss Prevention Consultant, a TX Loss Control Representative, and is a past President of Pi Chi Omega, the national honor fraternity of the pest management industry. He is President of the PA Pest Management Association, Chairs their Education Committee, and serves on their Bed Bug Task Force.

Kristi Crutchfield, Superior Exterminating

Kristi began her career in the Pest Management industry when she joined Superior Exterminating in March 1999 as the Receptionist. She was promoted to Superior Exterminating’s Office Manager in August 2008. Kristi was instrumental in organizing meetings and providing communication support for the Southwest Virginia Pest Management Association from 2000-2009, prior to becoming Vice President in 2010. She was elected President of SVPMA in 2012, and currently serves in that position. Kristi has served on the VPMA Board of Directors since 2012 as the SVPMA Liaison. She currently serves on the Association Outreach Committee, the Membership Committee, and the WDI Committee. Her article for The PMP Reporter was featured in Admin Corner. She has represented VPMA at the Hokie BugFest each year since it’s inauguration

in 2011. Kristi’s interest in the pest management industry inspired her to obtain licenses as a Registered Technician, General Pest Control Commercial Applicator, and Public Health Pest Control. She also obtained the VPMA WDI Inspector certification. Kristi is involved with Superior Exterminating’s in-house technical training, testing and insect identification. In 2012, Kristi became an Associate Certified Entomologist. Kristi resides in Roanoke, VA with her two children. Rhonda Elmore, Commonwealth Exterminators, Inc.

Rhonda Elmore, Vice President of Operations at Commonwealth Exterminators, Inc. in Lawrenceville, where she has been employed for 16 years. Literally growing up in the industry, she is a Past-President of the Central Virginia Pest Management Association, and currently serves on the Virginia Pest Management Association Board of Directors. She is the Chair of the Information & Technology Committee, and serves on the Scholarship Committee. Rhonda has also been a member of NPMA Leadership Development Group, and Professional Women in Pest Management. Rhonda resides in Bracey, Virginia with her 17 year old son, Austin, and several pets! Outside of the industry and in her community, she is an active member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church, serves on the Relay for Life of South Hill Committee as

well as being a Team Captain each year. She also serves as chairperson of Home Life Committee with the Lake Gaston Junior Women’s Club.

Jason Guy, Terminix International Co., L.P.

Jason has been employed by Terminix for the past 8 years and currently holds the position of Regional Manager. He is responsible for the states of Maryland, DC, Virginia, and Delaware. He holds a Master’s degree from Dowling University and a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Arkansas. Prior to Terminix, he served the city of Mayflower, Arkansas as a Planning Commissioner and a city councilman.

Keith McCormick, A-Active Termite & Pest Control Co.

Keith McCormick is the General Manager for A-Active Termite & Pest Control Company in Virginia Beach. He started with A-Active in 2005 as a field technician and has served as A-Actives’ Operation Manager and Quality Assurance Manager. He has been actively involved in the Pest Management Industry since May 1999. He places emphasis on training and proactive quality assurance. He holds the designation of Associated Certified Entomologist from the Entomological Society of America. Keith holds the VDACS pesticide applicators’ license for general pest and wood destroying insects. In addition, he is a VPMA Certified WDI Inspector. He has completed Purdue University Pest Management Technology program. Keith is a Director on the VPMA Board, where he co-chairs the WDI Committee. He also serves on the NPMA’s Leadership Development Group. Prior to the pest management industry, he served 8 years in

the US Navy as an Aviation Electronics Specialist. Michael Morris, Integrity Pest Solutions

Michael H. Morris is the Owner and President of Integrity Pest Solutions, LLC, servicing the Richmond Metro; Chesterfield; Powhatan; Midlothian and the Tri-Cities areas. Mike has been in the pest management industry for over 17 years; nine years at Univar USA as an client account specialist, business development manager and as a branch manager. Mike was certified as a Virginia Commercial Applicator in 2002 and a VPMA Certified WDI Inspector in 2003 and became a VPMA Master Technician in 2014. In 2005 Mike completed successfully the Purdue University Pest Management Technology Course. In 2007 Mike and his wife of 33 years, Patricia, formed Integrity Pest Solutions. Mike and Patricia are both US Army Veterans. Both hail from Michigan and have been fortunate to live and travel throughout the world, and are

especially blessed with two daughters and three grandchildren. Mike has a BS in Business Management, U of M / Belmont University TN.; AA in Organizational Management , Summit University, LA; Certificate, Virginia Union University: Leadership Development. Mike serves on the membership committee of Business Network International (BNI) Abundance Chapter; Board of Directors, CVPMA; and is a member of the Chesterfield Chamber. He is active in church and community, having coached youth AAU football; girls travel soccer; and basketball. He enjoys golfing, vacationing and family.

Anthony “Tony” Sfreddo, Triple ‘S’ Termite & Pest Control,

Inc.

Anthony “Tony” Sfreddo is the President/CEO of Triple ‘S’ Termite & Pest Control, Inc. in Manassas. Tony holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Virginia. Tony began his career in pest management with Triple ‘S’ in 1990. He has served as the General Manager Commercial Department, General Manager of Commercial and Residential Departments and the President/CEO; becoming the owner in 2003. He oversaw the development and expansion of the business from one office to four and revenue expansion from $1.8 million to $8 million, putting Triple ‘S’ in PCT’s Top 100 Companies for five consecutive years. Tony has served on the

NOVA PMA Board and is an active member of his community, serving on the Board for the Boys & Girls Club of Prince William County, as Assistant Scout master to Boy Scout Troop 92 in Warrenton, as Fundraising Chair for the Fauquier County Republican Committee, and on the City of Manassas Healthcare Fair Committee. He is a member of the local Chamber of Commerce and resides in Warrenton.

Troy Wolfrey, PermaTreat Pest Control

Troy Wolfrey has worked in the industry for 16 years, all of that time spent at PermaTreat. He began his career as a Pest Control Specialist and worked his way up to General Manager of the Fredericksburg office with great success in all of the operations along the way. Troy has a great knowledge of the industry as well as a passion for its well-being. Troy, wife Tanya, and daughter Bethanie are lifelong residents of Orange County where they currently reside.
