Abbitt had a lead o"f 37,953 to 16,584, with return• from 162 of 200 precineta. A late afternoon survey indicated that the largest vote ever polled in the hittory of Nottoway, Lunenburg and Amelia eountiaa was recorded Tuesday. Voters formed long linea all day •t the various polling places while they waited to east their ballets. It was necessary to construct twa new booths, at the B'tackatone town hall, to supplement the two regular units. At Victor'ia they had to build' three new ones to aceomnodate the voters.
