MRKT.WY (pronounced “Market Way”) is a Fraser Valley-based creator of lo-fi hip hop beats and grooves, blending samples, loops, and performance on the fly.

Harlequin Gold Vancouver | Indie Pop | harlequingold.com

Sisters Elle and Avery O’Brien, originally from Kelowna, relocated to Vancouver to form the Indie Pop band Harlequin Gold. Their debut EP Baby Blue has garnered universal acclaim, including the Vancouver Sun, as well as radio play on CBC and elsewhere.

D Fretter is a Fraser Valley singer/ songwriter, known for his intimate performances and insightful lyrics.

Trés Fou are the Abbotsford synth-pop husband-and-wife duo Daniel and Taryn Sparrow. “Trés Fou” means “very crazy,” but the only crazy thing is that you haven’t gotten to hear them yet.

Abbotsford’s Becca Hess grew up surrounded by country music. Her father, BCCMA Hall-of-Famer Kenny Hess, took her on his tours across the country. She’s shared the stage with Big & Rich, Travis Tritt, and Dwight Yoakam, among others, and has received multiple MCCMA nominations in her career, still at its beginning.

Canada Day Drumming Zone

Join Archway Community Services’ Abbotsford Mission Recycling Program this Canada Day! We’ll take you on an exciting and sustainable journey where you’ll learn all about recycling, composting, and crafting using recyclable materials for you to do at home!

On July 1st a Nationwide simultaneous drumming event will be taking place at 10:00 am. Abbotsford residents can join in the fun and register to be a part of the epic celebration!

Diversity ZoneGurmat Center is a youth-focused, non-profit organization created to foster a sense of belonging and instill strong values in the future of tomorrow, our children. While this year we are not able to bring out the colourful turbans and interact with fellow Canadians, we will instead showcase a series of videos about the significance of turbans in Canada. We will end the celebrations with a fun game of “Turban Trivia” that everyone can participate in and learn from!

Fraser Valley Bandits ZoneThis Canada Day, the Fraser Valley Bandits are excited to bring basketball and entertainment fans of all ages an exciting series of training seminars featuring players from the Bandits’ 2020 roster. As well, for the entire month of July the team will be hosting a colouring contest where the winners will be taking home a Fraser Valley Bandits prize packs.

Jump ZoneThis year’s Jump Zone will be hosted by two local Abbotsford Jump Rope teams, RopeWorks and Skipping Sensations. Our teams compete in tournaments ranging from local to international levels and perform in shows across the province. We love running workshops and camps and spreading the love of our sport to our community! Join us virtually this July to learn some new skills!

The Dogwood Pacesetters Canine Sports Club We are a Non-profit Club which promotes the human-canine bond and responsible canine ownership in our community. A Diverse Tapestry: The founders and Builders of Abbotsford Local Abbotsford community members and authors will be debuting a sneak-peak release of short readings from the new book “A Diverse Tapestry: The Founders and Builders of Abbotsford”. Created with a labour of love, this new book tells the stories of people who have influenced Abbotsford to become the great city it is today. Scheduled to release in Fall 2020, the book will take you on a journey which will result in a strong desire for peace, understanding, and reconciliation, a realization of what really matters in life.
