Best Practices: Some of the best practices of M.Com at St. Xavier’s University are: Ignitian Pedagogy for teaching & learning. Specialization across a broader spectrum, involving Finance & Accounting, International Business and Marketing. Dynamic and flexible credit based Course Curriculum has been tailored and designed by experience professors and industry experts to strike a balance between academics and industry requirements. Assignment oriented pedagogy forms a part of the curriculum. Workshops and Special Lectures by eminent Professors from other universities and industry experts. Use of Google Classrooms along with audio/visual facilities. Use of latest statistical soſtware like SPSS, Mathematica etc. in the preparation of research projects. Summer internships and regular industry visits are organized for students to give them the opportunity to work in LIVE projects. Faculty-Student Research Collaborations in International Conferences. It has been adapted to local surroundings, suggestive of a native flavour of a University in India. e escutcheon in white and blue contains a tiger and a palm tree, overlooked by a silver crescent moon, which symbolizes the palacio of Xavier. e charge on the Dexter, HIS, bespeaks a College of the Society of Jesus (Iesus Hominum Salvator - Jesus, Savior of Human Family). e checky argent and sable in the base recall the spirit of the Xaverian family. A garter bearing the words "St. Xavier's University, Kolkata", encircles the escutcheon and it is surmounted by a Cross emanating holy rays. A scroll passes underneath inscribed with the words Nihil Ultra (Nothing Beyond), the motto of the University. e Crest signifies dignity, courage, quiet gleam and the call of the beyond - the quest persists towards higher endeavour.
