On Saturday, 9th April 2016, the students and teachers of our school involved in Erasmus 70 Years of European History Project went on a school trip to CCB to see a collection of Contemporary Art in Berardo Museum. When we arrived in Lisbon,
we went to “Pastéis de Belém”.
When we arrived to CCB we were received by a guide who explained us a lot of interesting things about Berardo’s collection of Modern Art. She explained us that there are different ways to
understand Modern Art.
The first work she showed us was an example of minimalist art. It was composed of two steal squares showing how a
heavy and difficult thing can look slight and easy.
Then we saw a picture of a cactus and the cactus itself.
In the next room we saw a roof tile that had a piece of lead above it.
Finally we saw a bunch of pictures of buildings that looked like they had the same high but they hadn’t. They represented black
and white pictures of industrial landscapes.
