Celebrating 100 years of the greatest Thoroughbred in History. This American icon, born in Kentucky would go on to capture the country’s imagination as well as 20 of 21 starts in his racing career. This exhibit explores the history and legacy of this remarkable racehorse. Sponsored by Lynn Imaging/Monster Color

Horse Drawn Trolley Take a scenic ride on the park grounds in a trolley pulled by 2 of our beautiful draft horses. This informative 8-10 minute tour provides a chance to learn more about the features, history, and current events of the Kentucky Horse Park.10:00 am and 3:00 pm at Trolley station
Hall of Champions Presentation The excitement of the racetrack is brought to life by the elite group of champion horses that reside at the Hall of Champions. Meet legendary horses like Da Hoss, Western Dreamer, Staying Together and Kentucky Derby winners Go For Gin and Funny Cide. Hear their stories and how they became the champions they are today in this half hour presentation. 10:30 am and 1:15 pm
Parade of BreedsThis half-hour presentation highlights the unique characteristics of selected breeds, while authentically costumed handlers put the horses through their paces. After the show, visitors have the opportunity to meet and pet their favorite horses and talk with the handlers.11:00 am and 2:00 pm at the Breeds Barn
Draft Horse Demonstration The Draft Horse Demonstration features the Kentucky Horse Park draft horses and includes a description about the horses, their show preparation, harnessing, and breed information. The demonstration lasts about 15 minutes and guests can come to the Meet & Greet session afterwards to meet the draft horses used in that day’s session. 11:45 am at the Big Barn
Groom and ShineThis activity teaches kids of all ages how to properly use grooming tools, take care of a horse, and the importance of horse health care. Kids can also watch the park staff prepare the horses for shows and practice grooming on our mannequin horses. 2:45 pm at the Kids’ Barn
Horse Feeding and TurnoutOur horses end their work day. The Kentucky Horse Park staff feed and get horses ready for evening. 3:30 at the Big Barn and Breeds Barn on the park.
Additional Attractions:Horseback Rides ($)A 30 minute guided trail ride, suitable for first time riders, takes you along the outskirts of the park. Riders must be at least 7-years old and 4-feet tall and under 250 lbs. Tickets are limited and can only be purchased the day of your visit. Purchase at the Visitor Center before 3:45 pm.Ride load times: 9:45 am, 11:00 am, 12:15 pm, 1:30, 2:45, 4:00. Tickets are $25.00 per rider. Save $7.00 when purchased with park admission.
Pony Rides ($)Not to be left out, the park’s youngest visitors can take a ride around the pony paddock. For ages 2 through 12; 90-pound weight limit. Tickets are limited and can only be purchased the day of your visit. Purchase at the Visitor Center before 3:45 pm.Ride Times: 9:45 am, 11:00 am, 12:15 pm, 1:30, 2:45, 4:00. Tickets are $5.00 for three times around the paddock. *Dates, times and prices are subject to change without notice.
