ANNUAL EVENTS IN LUFKIN

MAIN STREET MARKET DAYSSecond Saturday of Every Month

This monthly event takes place in downtown Lufkin. First Street is blocked off to through traffic, and the streets are transformed into a market place with vendors lining both sides of the streets. Market Days features everything from food to homemade goods to clothes, crafts and art as well as our downtown merchants being open. This is a shopping extravaganza that you don’t want to miss.

CORKS & FORKSFirst Saturday in February

Corks & Forks is a “mini Lufkin’s Bistro” and fantastic tasting event that promises to be a night to remember! Lufkin’s finest chefs will showcase their tastiest appetizers and desserts paired with great wines and Champagnes! Come enjoy a night of elegance and fun while listening to live music. Downtown Lufkin hosts a variety of elegant events each year, including Lufkin’s Bistro in October and Corks & Forks in February.

ANGELINA BENEFIT RODEOHeld annually in AprilGeorge H. Henderson, Jr. Exposition Center

Held the last full weekend in April, this is one of the finest rodeos in Texas. It is an official stop on the PRCA circuit and attracts more than 25,000 people each year.

JAM & TOASTSecond Saturday in May

Jam & Toast is a play on words with the “Jam” being the music and the “Toast” being Champagne and wine! This event is set up in a similar fashion to Lufkin’s Farm Feast with seating for 150 people on one long table going through downtown Lufkin and most dishes served family style. Jam & Toast is a ticketed event held in conjunction with Main Street Market Days, and provides for a fabulous three-course brunch with wine pairings, followed by shopping.

LUFKIN’S FARM FEASTHeld Semi-Annually in June and October

This farm-to-table dinner is held at the Angelina County Farmer’s Market, giving it the perfect organic feel. Local chefs collaborate using fresh, flavorful ingredients from farms within a 100-mile radius of Lufkin, with each of the five courses being paired with a specialty wine to enhance the flavor of the meal. Lufkin’s Farm Feast is about sharing a meal and some special time with family and friends while celebrating the abundant bounty of our East Texas farmers.

TEXAS STATE FOREST FESTIVALHeld Annually in SeptemberGeorge H. Henderson, Jr. Exposition Center

Held the fourth week in September, this festival features several events including the Southern Hushpuppy Championships, a master chain saw sculptor, petting zoo, giant carnival, a lumberjack show and much more.

NECHES RIVER RENDEZVOUSFirst Saturday in June

Mark your calendar for the first Saturday in June! This unique 9.2-mile canoe trip down the Neches River is fun for everyone!
