the Abstraction Spider

After the abstraction process was complete, I noticed that the first three canvas' included various elements that

ended up being used throughout the next six canvas'. Such elements include

excentuating the extremities and the process of breaking the spider down into

geometric shapes.

These elements proved to be a sta-ple throughout this assignment, which is

why i gave them their own page. By making them bigger and assigning them

to their own page, i am establishing a heirarchy for the way they should be

viewed in comparison to the following six canvas'.

Composition

For this composition assignment we were only

allowed to use letters, symbols, and/or numbers to create a depiction of a given

insect. the objective i set for myself was to create an image

as close to real as possible. Using a method of extreme

repitition, i was able to bring the disgustingly hairy features

of a spider to life.
