A collection of ideas all committed to the individual progressing on their own. There is little government involvement.
Through liberalism people work for their own money to satisfy their needs rather than working for the needs of others.

Two companies who are both selling the same product will try to put up more advertisements and try give the people the better deal to convince the people to spend their money on their products.

The ability to choose.
Political - In a democracy people can choose who they want to govern their country.Economic – Businesses can sell their product to whomever they choose.

An important item to liberal democracies that states everyone is equal and subject to the law.
Under rule of law everyone in the USA is able to bare their own arms.

Private Property
Something that is owned by an individual or business. Whoever owns the property has the right and responsibility to take care of it.
A household must shovel their sidewalk and mow their own lawn if they own the house and land they are living on.

Collective Responsibility
A whole group is responsible for the actions taken by any one member of the group.
If one person in a team doesn’t follow the rules, the whole team may be banned from the competition.

Collective Interest
A set of interests that members of a group have in common. Even though individual members may have different thoughts. The group must come to a collective consensus.

Economic Equality
A principal that allows equal money for people who do work of a similar value.

Collective Norms
Standards members of a group are expected to meet. These norms can relate to conduct, values of appearance.
A construction worker must wear a hardhat when they are on site.

Anything not privately owned by individuals. Public property is often owned by the state or community.

A persons choices and thought about how they view the world.

Individual Identity
A set of values and beliefs that a single person has. These make up certain aspects of their identity.
Religion, appearance and how someone may view the earth (land) are important parts if someone's individual identity. The things that people participate in also create someone's individual identity. I play ringette for example.
