VISUALS TO SUPPORT HOME LEARNING Dear Parent/Guardian(s), Please find a daily schedule attached. This schedule can be used to keep your child engaged and provide structure to their day as they continue their learning at home. We have made a general schedule to suit all students, however additional visuals are attached should you decide to individualise your childs schedule. You can print and cut out the pictures you want to use. We have also attached a communication board to help support language development during learning activities. Other strategies to supplement using the visual schedule: x Use a timer for each activity x Use first/then when showing the schedule e.g. tell the child first - morning fitness, then - learning time. x You can also use this as a reinforcer e.g. first learning time, then break. (see first/then visual attached on pg. 9) More visuals are also accessible at Smarty Symbols (https://smartysymbols.com/checkout-1/?rid=pkm3u3). Use code-word HOMEVISUALS for free access to visuals for 30 days. Kind Regards, Getty Hamidi and Natalliya Sertic AVSS Speech Pathologists

VISUALS TO SUPPORT HOME LEARNING

Dear Parent/Guardian(s),

Please find a daily schedule attached. This schedule can be used to keep your child engaged and provide structure to their day as they continue their learning at home.

We have made a general schedule to suit all students, however additional visuals are attached should you decide to individualise your child’s schedule. You can print and cut out the pictures you want to use.

We have also attached a communication board to help support language development during learning activities.

Other strategies to supplement using the visual schedule:

x Use a timer for each activity x Use first/then when showing the schedule e.g. tell

the child “first - morning fitness, then - learning time”.

x You can also use this as a reinforcer e.g. “first – learning time, then – break”. (see first/then visual attached on pg. 9)

More visuals are also accessible at Smarty Symbols (https://smartysymbols.com/checkout-1/?rid=pkm3u3). Use code-word HOMEVISUALS for free access to visuals for 30 days.

Kind Regards,

Getty Hamidi and Natalliya Sertic
