VITeff 2019, the Sparkling Wines
Technologies Global Event The 15th edition of VITeff, the international exhibition of sparkling wine technologies organized by the Marne Chamber of Commerce
(CCI), will take place from Tuesday 15th to Friday 18th October 2019 at the Millesium d'Epernay. This exhibition is an event expected, by
professionals all around the world, in the sparkling wine sector. Regional wine tourism initiatives, innovation awards, business meetings, many
conferences etc…. The program has been designed to meet the current and future challenges of the sparkling wine sector. Furthermore, during the 4
days, visitors will not only have the chance to discover the offers from companies, suppliers of materials, equipment and services, but also to learn
about the major challenges facing the sector. With 6 months to go, more than 95% of the 27,000 m2 of exhibition space has already been sold.
Innovation is a key component of VITeff's development and export strategy.
This year, it will benefit from a renewed exhibition space: the Sparkling Lab, a space dedicated to various innovative projects and processes. The
Innovation Awards, organized by the Epernay Agglo Champagne Urban Community, will be promoted through enhanced communication.
Wine tourism - a shared challenge
Four years after its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List, the Champagne department is experiencing a tremendous increase in wine tourism offers, due to a high growth in visitors.
VITeff, in partnership with the CCGVM (Communauté de communes de la Grande Vallée de la Marne), intends to position itself as a facilitator of this
development, by being an exchange platform and a space for expert workshops and round tables.
During the 4 days, a dedicated program will be offered in the Sparkling Lab. This year, a focus will be put on the "Oenotourisme Lab", an incubator jointly
run by the ADT de la Marne, the Agglo de Châlons-en-Champagne and the ThincLab de Châlons..
NEW 2019: This year, a Virtual Reality space will be set up in the Sparkling Lab and will allow tourism stakeholders, partners
and exhibitors to show their videos in 360°. Internationality- more than ever a priority
A true DNA trait of VITeff is its international dimension and is, therefore, a big part of the program. Several foreign delegations composed of producers and
institutional actors will come to Epernay to discover the offer of the exhibiting companies. Workshops and conferences dedicated to exports will be offered to
Champagne operators. 2019 Belgium will be the guest of honor.

Moreover, this year, the Nordic countries, which have a strong dynamic in
terms of wine consumption, will be particularly highlighted during expert workshops for winegrowers.
NEW 2019 : Two experts in logistics and international transport
will be present at the workshops.
Focus on innovation This year, the Sparkling Lab, a 300m2 tent, will bring together the most
dynamic players in all areas of innovation for the sparkling wine sector: vine culture, wine culture, packaging, marketing, digital, wine tourism. It will be
composed of several areas: coworking, presentation of the winners of the Innovation Awards, conference areas, wine tourism and coffee shop.
This year, a significant number of companies participated in the
Innovation Awards, with 28 applications submitted. The selected companies have been unveiled before the summer for the first time on June 20, 2019. On October 15, the Awards will be presented
to companies at a ceremony to be held at the Sparkling Lab. The stands of the winning companies will be identified as winners of the Innovation
Award.
Training and employment at the heart of the exhibition
Led by the « Maison de l'Emploi et des Métiers d'Epernay » and with the support of the « Region Grand Est »,the « Passerelle des Métiers à l'Emploi ».
will offer interactive workshops on the themes of viticulture/vinification and the sparkling wine industry during the 4 days, as well as guided tours on the
exhibition. More than 20 partners are involved in guidance, training and employment.
A focus will be placed on technological innovation with the presence of innovative and interactive educational tools to discover the industry's
professions. Employment mornings will be set up to promote new recruitment methods, employment over the seasons, and the financing of training.
In addition, the “Maison de l'Emploi et des Métiers d'Epernay”, “Entreprendre pour Apprendre” and VITeff are teaming up again this year to set up an Innov'
Day (creativity day) which will bring together 7 schools of the region. Some new features will mark the 2019 edition: actions on sustainable
viticulture with an exhibition on "good practices", herbal tea decoction, insect recognition, and a job bar run by employment stakeholders, allowing
applications to be submitted, professionals to be met and job offers to be accessed.
