ViVA: aim and objectives

Aim

To reduce transport gender inequality in traffic safety assessment by focusing on

safety for male and female vehicle occupants and develop an open source

human body model for crash simulation

The objectives of the ViVA project are to:

• Create an open source virtual Human Body Model (HBM) platform of a

prototype of an average female.

• Propose a virtual test method protocol for Virtual Testing suitable for different

seated postures and genders will be developed.

• Demonstrate the virtual test method and HBM for females in rear impacts

tests.

Aim

• Create international collaboration to ensure that knowledge gained in the ViVA

project well established and anchored.

• Exchange of knowledge during the duration of the International Group (IG)

• IG consisting of representatives of stakeholders from industry, testing

organisations, and other experts

ViVA Dissemination plan

D 1. Presentation of ViVA at SAFER lunch meeting 15 Maj 2014

Skyltfonden and Folksams forskningsfond during autumn 2014.
