Vlad and Sveta news letter Greetings from Sakartvelo-Georgia, dear family in Christ! This month brings us to a year and a half mark since we moved from Russia to the Republic of Georgia. Our God is alive and well and is on the throne as always! He is a sovereign, rich and loving God. Faithful in fulfilling His promises to His people. This truth has been confirmed in our lives on many occasions and we are sure will be in the future. We pray, it is your experience as well. One of the biggest blessings that we have in our life and ministry is you. You are a great team, a real gift to us from God. We thank the Lord for you :-) Thank you! Update on Ruslan. Thank you so much for having been praying for this man. God has healed him. He had an inflammation in his jaw bone that was life threatening. The doctors removed the metal implant and cleaned the bone. He says he feels great and he looks much better too! Praise the Lord! I have received 500$ total from you all to pay for his operation. But it was given to him free. With those who sent the money, we decided to use it to buy food for his 6 kids. Great help in the time of total COVID-19 economy shut down here in the Republic of Georgia. This money will surely take them thru quarantine time! They all send their thank you to you all who have donated and have been praying! I’ve always been saying that God loves them and they are experiencing His love and are so grateful! Praise the Lord! Please, continue praying for a revival in his family! With the help of our current CBI student, Ani, who speaks Georgian, we can communicate much more and grow together in the knowledge of This text from Ruslan says: Christ :-) Praise the Lord! “You are our brother. Update on Ruslan.

Thank you so much for having been praying for this man. God has healed him. He had an inflammation in his jaw bone that was life threatening. Update on Calvary Bible Institute GEO

(“GEO” stands for the Republic of Georgia).

- Meet our NEW STUDENT! In 2019 we had two students joining us in life and ministry: an intern from CBI CC Joshua Springs, CA. Rachael Louise, who stayed with us for 7 months. And Abri Freshour from CC Northwoods, MN. She stayed with us just for a month to explore Georgia and join us in a short term mission trip to Svaneti. In this year 2020 an amazing godly girl of 21 years old joined our CBI. Her name is Ani Beruashvili. She is a native Georgian but grew up in Moscow, Russia. She speaks fluent Georgian and Russian and some English. Her everyday translation help is a huge blessing to us and the ministry here! Our family has a long history of relationship with her. Ani came to know the Lord thru our sons Misha and Elijah when we were still serving with Calvary Chapel Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. 3 years ago, I lead her in prayer to receive Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior. She is a perfect “Guinee pig” to test drive our CBI program. :-) She is so excited to be growing in the Lord! After 2 months in CBI with us, she says “I never thought it is possible to fellowship with God like this, all the time! Jesus changed my mind and heart. I have freedom and joy.” Please, pray for Ani as she is working hard to study and work with CBI GEO program.

- Calvary Bible Institute GEO on-line. - CBI GEO Podcast radio. Within the next 3 months we pray and hope to be able to finish putting all our teaching materials onto the internet in audio format. That will make CBI GEO courses available for Russian speaking students to study on-line. It is going to be in the format of a podcast radio station. It is like an online audio library that you can access thru a smartphone application of your choice (like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Pocket casts, Overcast, etc.) and listen on the go anywhere, anytime. It will be on Youtube as well to listen to it as a Youtube channel. Prayer support needed big time!!! - CBI GEO website. We are working on our webpage at the main website of Calvary Bible Institute https://www.calvarybi.com/ It will be at the “International” link. Please, be praying! Thank you!

- CBI GEO campus. In the fall of 2021, if we shell live and the Lord blesses, we will be opening our campus in the Republic of Georgia for students to study on-campus. By the grace of God thru our faith! Be praying for us and with us :-) I took this picture over our house this spring. Kind of looks like the Holy Spirit dove, doesn’t it? :-)

- CBI GEO Chapel. We are working on starting our Calvary Bible Institute Chapel. It’s a student church that will be open for the local people. Currently it will be online in English and in Russian. As far as later, we are praying whether to do it on-campus or somewhere in the city of Tbilisi. Help us to know and follow the will of God by praying with us! Thank you!

Update on Sveta’s art ministry to children.

- Outreach in Svaneti mountains. It a second time that we go there to reach out to the local kids with the love and truth of Christ. The relationships that were built last year really became deeper this year. When at the end of the outreach we asked the local kids in what ways they benefited from the art classes and fellowship with us among other things they said that they learnt more about God. PTL!!! Please, be praying for the children of Svaneti who are growing under the pressure of pagan superstitions and pseudo Christian traditions.

- An open door to serve special children in that area. Thru our friends we got in contact with the local rehabilitation center for mentally special children. Sveta and the local teachers connected instantly and made great friends. Funny, some of the teachers spoke Russian and some English, between these two languages we could overcome the language barrier. They invited us to do our art course this summer at their summer camp for special kids. A great door is opened and great opportunity to share the love of God and the Good News with special children and their parents. They need it so much because they carry this stigma of being under a curse because of the mental disability of their kids. That’s how the local culture sees it. One of those superstitions, you know. Please, be praying that we would follow the Lord in ceasing this opportunity for Christ!

One last thing - Iranian Ministry.

I am so blessed to continue teaching courses on a regular basis at the ministry for Iranian Christian Refugees here in Sakartvelo-Georgia. Persian Christians are amazing students and children of God. These two guys Mehdad and Amin are faithful servants, working hard to translate teaching of the courses from English into Farsi (Iranian language). Please, be praying for them and other Iranian Christian refugees here. They’ve all been heavily scarred by their past experiences. Thank you so much!
