INTRODUCTION
EXISTING SYSTEM
Hospital was setup in 1981 and India’s first corporate hospital, offering a complete
set of sophisticated facilities for Private, paying patients. Since then the group hasbeen
Continuously expanding in related areas, as well as setting
Up hospitals in different parts of India and other parts of the world. It has
consistently collaborated with
Other world class institutions to ensure that it keeps well addressed of global
developments and trends in
Technology and practices.
Following the lead of hospital the entire health care scenario of India has changed
with over 750 corporate hospitals being established all over the country.
The hospital has general wards, private rooms and special wards. It has eminent
consultants in general medicine, general surgery, cardiology, orthopedics,
Gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, plastic surgery and pediatrics. Consultants visit
regularly and on request
They are on service during emergencies.
A separate database is maintained about all the doctors and nurses. This keeps
track of their employee number, name, age, sex, date of birth, education
qualification,
Specialization, years of experience. A separate database is maintained to keep track
of the shift timings of all theDoctors & nurses.
At most, any doctor can examine not more than 30 patients in a day. Each doctor
has been assigned 4 hours daily where he has to examine the outpatients.
This hospital collects only minimal registration fees from the out-patients and gives
full consultation excepting
In cases where consultation is required by visiting specialists. Medicines are
dispensed at cost and injections are administered free of charges. In case of out-
patients,
Depending on their status either entire treatment on including cost of medicine is
free or it charges a nominal just to meet the cost of medicines, surgeons fee and
establishment expenditure.
The group controls 3 general wards with 20 beds each, 15 payee rooms and special
unit with 10 beds in the
Corporate hospital.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
To bring out a comprehensive package to manage and assist the hospital industry,
this package has to be designed to provide a total solution to the health care
industry and it
Meets the international hospital requirements. It is proposed to bring out thepackage using Visual Basic 6.0 as Front end and MS_Access as the back end.
Previously the project above mentioned is present done in
Manual performing the entire operation manual is very difficult and tedious
process. Suppose if you want to search a particular patient from the book is taking
so much time. If
You want to modify or delete the details then the manual
System is not enough to do these tasks. After completing the all transactions it is
difficult to store all the details in safety place.
