SAT PREP CLASS EXPECTATIONS
1. CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR. A student in SAT Prep is college-bound. Therefore, I know that I
can count on you to exhibit the same behaviors that you will display to your professors and peers
in university life.
About Talking in Class - Most teachers, myself included, don't mind if you whisper to your
neighbor something like "Is this from section 2.2?" When the group is focused on a topic,
individual conversations between students, even about that topic, are disruptive and rude and
will be dealt with firmly. from “Classroom Etiquette in College”
• No, you may not sleep. You are here – make the best of it.
• Meet deadlines: all assignments are due at the beginning of each class on due date
- late or forgotten work is NOT accepted unless there is an extreme reason (illness,
death in family, etc.)
2. Online Work . You will have access to the SAT online course. YOU will register for the course
and remember your screen name and password according to our directions. I will not keep
your information for you.
3. You will follow all WHSD rules regarding compute r labs as per the WHHS Handbook.
4. Materials – At times you will be assigned textbooks to use. The SAT Practice book costs
$20.00 to replace and the Busted book costs $7.95. Please return these so the other classes
will have enough materials.
5. The Honor Code : You may be required to do at-home practice tests and work within a timed
setting. You are on your honor to follow the time prescriptions and to work alone, without
help.
6. “I Don’t Wanna” Rule – I did not sign you up for this class and do not intend to spend the
next 9 weeks listening to you complain, trying to get your attention, or waking you up. If you
stay in this class you will be expected to participate with the enthusiasm and diligence of
someone who actually plans to go to college. If not, there will be consequences.
*Do you agree to ALL of my classroom rules and the consequences of not following them?
If so, sign here: _____________________________________________________
