Misplaced modifierNounA word, phrase, or clause that seems to refer to or describe an unintended word because of its placement in a sentenceSynonym: not clearly relatedSentence: Danny used a misplaced modifier in his sentence trying to describe what his father looked like.Example: On her way home, Jan found a gold mans watch. (gold is the misplaced modifier because it suggests that the man is gold, not the watch)3Misplaced modifierI ate only vegetables.
