years• Reason: keeping young people away from socialist
ideas between leaving school and military service• Aim: youths should become
the „emperor‘s willing subjects“

1933 After the seizure of power by the National Socialistsfreedom and individuality were replaced by the ideal of
„serving people who subordinate to public necessities“Focus of the lessons switched to racial hatred and the aim of conveying the NS-ideology
School did not only become a place for plain propaganda, but for the subtle influence on students
Besides that there were no special NS-methods of teaching

Self-organized learning (SOL):
•Students are given fixed aims and prepared materials•Teachers organize the learning arrangements and change their role into learning advisors•Students work according to their individual needs and at their individual speed•No 45-minute lessons in German, economics, English, maths (plus others)•Regular alternation of individual work, pair work, and group work•Opening of the new SOL-storey of our school
