Start here if you use FIBRE to the building
Status Lights
Setting up your modem
Attach one end of RED WAN cable to the RED port marked ‘LAN’ on your ONT.
Connect the other end onto the RED WAN port on the modem.
Connect the power supply with the power supply socket (POWER) of the HG 659 and a power socket.
Press the power button (On/Off) on the side of the HG659 and wait for the status lights.

Connecting devices with your modem
Connect devices using Wi-Fi:
Connect your device with the Wi-Fi network of the modem. Wi-Fi name and password are located on the product label on the rear of your modem as well as the Wi-Fi sticker.
Connect devices using a cable (i.e. PC):
Plug one end of the yellow ethernet cable (LAN) into any of the four yellow LAN ports on the back of your modem. Connect the other end to your computer’s LAN port.

DSL & Line cable
Depending on what kind of master socket you have, you may need to plug in a broadband splitter before plugging in your modem and phone.
Broadband Splitter is required
If your master socket has only one port, then it is a standard socket and will need a broadband splitter installed to work properly with your Vodafone modem.
Broadband Splitter is not required
If your master socket already has separate phone and data ports built in, then it´s a pre-filtered socket that doesn´t require a broadband splitter.

Connect one end of the DSL cable to the grey DSL port on the modem
Connect the other end of the DSL cable to the port on the broadband splitter socket marked with this icon
Connect one end of the LINE cable to the port on the broadband splitter marked as LINE
Connect one end of the DSL cable to the grey DSL port on the modem
Connect the other end of the DSL cable to the port on the broadband splitter socket marked with this icon
Plug the other end of the LINE cable into your master socket on the wall
Connect the power supply into a main socket and the power cable into the modem power supply socket
Press the On/Off button on the side of the modem and wait for the Internet light to turn to solid green
