Formed in 1982 as a joint venture with RacalElectronics plcs.
Racal electronics was renamed to RacalTelecommunication group in 1985.
The network was then named Racal Vodafone.
On September 16th 1991 Racal telecom wasdemerged and thus the Vodafone Group wasformed.
