As of April 16, Grant County is one of the fifteen counties in Minnesota that have no reported cases of the
Covid 19 virus. Congratulations and thank you for the way you are practicing hygiene, social distancing, and
self-quarantine. What we are experiencing during these challenging times is a health crisis, a family crisis, a
community crisis, and a financial crisis. Through it all we trust that God is with us, that God has got this, that
God is bigger than the coronavirus crisis.
The good news is that this crisis will come to an end. The curve has been flattened and there is talk about
opening up society again. When that day finally arrives and we again gather in church for worship we will
want to modify our behavior to prevent the spread of the virus and keep people safe. Some suggestions we
may want to consider are:
Suspend greeter.
Utilize the whole sanctuary including those dreaded front pews.
Receive the offering by the door (or better yet direct deposit) instead of passing the plates.
No physical contact during the passing of the peace.
Suspend or reduce the frequency of Holy Communion.
Refrain from shaking hands at the end of the service.
No coffee fellowship time.
If you feel sick, or have been around someone who has been sick do not attend church.
If you have additional suggestions or concerns please send them to me or to a
member of the council to be considered.
We are in this together. We all need to deepen our relationship with God, each other and our neighbor as we
continue to live out our Lord’s command:
“Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest? He said to him, You shall love the Lord your
God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first command-
ment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang
all the law and the prophets.” Matthew 22:36-40
Take care of yourselves, your family, and your neighbors.
You are in my prayers,
Pastor Dan

There are Angels God puts on this Earth
Who care for us and guide us.
You can feel their love and gentleness
as they walk through life beside us.
They do great thing for us every day
they whisper in our ears,
they even hold us in their hearts
when we are filled with all our fears.
They are always there to give a hug
and try to make us smile.
They treat us with respect and love,
they treat us like their child.
God blessed me with an Angel,
I’m proud to call my own.
She’s been with me throughout my
life, been with me as I’ve grown.
She’s guided me the best she can,
she’s taught me like no other,
and I’m, thankful I’m the lucky one
who get’s to call
her…..Mother
Happy Mother’s Day Mom’s!

The Grue Women's Bible Study have not met for a while due to the coronavirus keeping us
from gathering for studies.
When we are able to get together again we will be studying the book on The Lords Prayer.
With this we also miss the fellowship with our friends and of course the coffee and goodies
with them.
We are still making quilts and could use more jeans. Without Hazel's busy hands has
slowed us down a bit, we will make as many as we can and give where they are needed.
As the days go by as we wait, there is time for prayer for those who are ill and pray that
no others will become ill.
Stay healthy, Be safe ,stay home if you can, wear a mask to help protect your neighbor if
you have to go out. I have made some masks if any one needs.
We can do this together apart.
GOD BLESS..
Sec. Bea Runningen.

PEACE WELCA NEWS
Greetings, I hope this finds you and your family well as we continue our social distancing.
Team 4 with Darcy and Russ Sorenson Chairs are planning the calendar for the month of May
as if we will be resuming services. There are a few changes as the recommendation is to slowly
resume our normal activities. For the month of May, we will not have greeters and will discon-
tinue serving coffee. We may continue that for the next few months as we wait to see how
COVID 19 affects our community.
On a brighter note Val Fick has been busy making a quilt top for the Luther Crest Quilt auction
and Teresa Magnuson has agreed to quilt it. Val said the fabric is a combination of creams and
whites called cookies and cream. Val has also been thinking ahead to May and plans to make
May baskets for individuals that may be more shut in then normal. She has enlisted several
people to help with delivery and decorating of the bags.
As we go about our daily lives may we use our faith to guide us. Now is the time for prayers
of healing and strength.
