1. Cannot always recognize what you are saying.

2. Can only be used when there is an Internet connection, which costs a lot.

3. May tell you a longer route to where you want to go.

4. Does not need a password so your personal information may get stolen.

Just for fun when playing jokes on it.

• Many respondents used the functions of calling people without searching contacts and

used the software for fun. It may because it is more convenient to call people just by using voice instead of hands and people found this software interesting and entertaining.

• However, few people used the function of creating a calendar or plan, this may because

they usually create plan by written words (Schedule book). Even no one used the

function of finding restaurants as there are other apps providing better information (eg. Open rice)

Many respondents thought it’s good that they do not have to use their hand to search information when driving as well as it is easy to use and save a lot of time, especially when sending a text message or an email. The reasons may be that people emphasize the safety and convenience of daily life nowadays because they have a lot of works. The voice-recognition software can make their works more efficient.

However, few respondents thought that searching dishes of the restaurant or practicing a foreign language are the advantages of the software. It is because the software doesn’t provide good services in these aspects.

Many respondents thought that the software always cannot recognize what they are saying. It represents that the voice-recognition software still has to improve the part of recognition. It’s better if the software can fix the words that it misunderstood.

However, few respondents thought that the software replies people with some bad words and it tells them a longer route to somewhere. It represents the software does quite well in those part.

has low possibility to be common in any operating systems in the future.

• It may because the voice-recognition software in smartphone is not perfect enough. It still needs to improve in many aspects like recognition.
