By Danny Nuttman I am one of your personal trainers and although

I may be relatively new to the Bainbridge Athletic Club, I am by no means new to weight loss. I want to share my own weight loss story in hopes of reaching and inspiring you or someone you know as we move forward into the New Year.

If someone had told me at my peak weight of 400 pounds that I would one day be a fitness trainer and run mara-thons, not one ounce of my body would have believed it. I was sad, depressed and tired, but losing weight never was part of my plan. I thought

I was normal, just a “big guy”, and did not associ-ate the negative feelings I had with my weight.

In 2003 when I began to have knee and shoul-der problems, my doctor ordered an MRI, and now in hindsight I cannot be more thankful for what hap-pened that day. I did not fit into the MRI machine. It was then and there that I realized something had to change. I had no idea where I needed to start or the path that I needed to take, which now as a trainer I have come to find is very common. BAC(K) to Life TestimonialBy Erin EricksonThey say that just getting to the gym is

90% of your workout. But believe me, it takes a lot more than just walking in the door to see results. Belief, Accountability and Commit-ment – these are the exact elements of my workout which are a constant struggle. I need results, so from experience I know that this is the program for me – yet again. I participated in BAC to Life in 2008 and got so strong; los-ing a good amount of my fat percentage. My clothes looked great and my cholesterol came way down; I was sleeping better and feeling much better every day. Even my kids liked me more! Being accountable to an instructor and a group of other people is what it takes for me to commit to myself. I know that I need to take care of my heart and waistline and I know that I need extra support to do it. Join me in anoth-er session of BAC(K) to Life. The experienced BAC staff will lead us all in a productive group experience and I promise that if you commit, are accountable and believe in yourself, this program will guide you through the rest!
