Prof. Dr, Masana ogata. He obtained the post-graduatefe110wshipsoonafter

finishingmedical degree from university of Philippines. During one month

period of training he studied mainlythe comprehensivemethod of air and

water polution control and monitoring system. He studied the management by

advanced technology in the Prefectural Research lnstitute for Environment and

Public Health. His study included field visits and on the spot learning in and

aroundokayamaCity.Aftersuccessfullyompletingthefellowshipand

broadening his experiences in occupational and lndustrial Medicine, Dr.Kenneth

Was awarded an authorized certificate by okayama universityMedical Schoo.

Returned to Philippines he was appointed as a resident physician in university

Hospital.

Dr. Kenneth, for his hard work and outstanding performance, was choosen as

thebestresidentofthedepartmentoflnternalMedicineover allthe

residents including his seniors. He was given the award Resident Physician of

the Yearll in the.Christmas party of the Department of lnternal Medicine.

The Clinical Pain Service is a multidisciplinary service made up of a team of

university of Washington health professionals. Founded in 1961 by Dr. John J.

Bonicaan anesthesiologist and Dr. Lowe11 E. White Jra neurosurgeonthe

service has served as a model for other pain clinics throughout the united

States and the rest of the world

The Pain Serviceone of the university Hospitalclinicsdraws upon the

resources of many specialists at the university who are interested in the
