Vol. 25 No. 22 - June 3, 2015 FROM TIM… A SPECIAL BILINGUAL SUNDAY THIS WEEKEND – We will have our second bilingual worship and potluck this coming Sunday, something that we always enjoy and have now gotten used to. So what makes this one special? (1) For one, it will be special because our eldership will present the lesson thoughts of the hour. Our shepherds have gladly accepted the important role of leading a bilingual church family, and it will be great to hear their thoughts. (2) Second, it will be special because it will be the last Sunday for two of our Spanish- speaking couples. Carlos and Alma Barrientos will be moving as a family to Louisiana next week to work with a church there. They have been such a big part of our Spanish- speaking group for many years, and they will be missed, but we know God goes with them and will bless them in their new work. Also, Jesus and Carmen Jimenez will be moving next week, as they have finished their studies at the Memphis School of Preaching. Jesus and Carmen have also been great spiritual leaders in their time here at Great Oaks, and Jesus teaching evangelism classes here on Sunday afternoons have been a great encour- agement to the evangelistic spirit of our Spanish-speakers. We will miss both of these cou- ples very much! In their final bilingual Sunday here, Jesus will present our Lord’s Supper devotional, and Carlos will teach the Spanish Bible class and will again be our translator for the worship as he has done so often these past 2 years. We appreciate these men and their constant willingness to serve in God’s kingdom. The 12 Questions Memphis website and advertising begin this week! What can you do to help? 1) Take some advertising materials from the tables in the lobby: take a flyer, a bumper sticker, a yard sign, and some business cards, and help us get the message out! 2) Visit 12questionsmemphis.com - look around the website, and feel free to put in a question that you would ask God. 3) Find 12 Questions Memphis on social media! We have 12 Questions Memphis accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+go to them and click like or follow. Help us share 12 Questions messages with your friends online. 4) Can you sign up to help door knock July 10-15? Sign-up sheets to help with a variety of 12 Questions ser- vice teams are in the lobby. 5) Tell a friend about 12 Questions Memphis! 6) Make plans to be here July 12-15! We rejoice to announce the baptism of Emily Vasquez Sunday, May 31st following the AM worship service. She is the 11 year old daughter of Barces and Herminia Vasquez and was baptized by her father and Elias. Please encourage her as she begins her new Christian walk.

Vol. 25 No. 22 - June 3, 2015

FROM TIM… A SPECIAL BILINGUAL SUNDAY THIS WEEKEND – We will have our second bilingual worship

and potluck this coming Sunday, something that we always enjoy and have now gotten used to.

So what makes this one special?

(1) For one, it will be special because our eldership will present the lesson thoughts of the

hour. Our shepherds have gladly accepted the important role of leading a bilingual church

family, and it will be great to hear their thoughts.

(2) Second, it will be special because it will be the last Sunday for two of our Spanish-

speaking couples. Carlos and Alma Barrientos will be moving as a family to Louisiana next

week to work with a church there. They have been such a big part of our Spanish-

speaking group for many years, and they will be missed, but we know God goes with them

and will bless them in their new work. Also, Jesus and Carmen Jimenez will be moving

next week, as they have finished their studies at the Memphis School of Preaching. Jesus

and Carmen have also been great spiritual leaders in their time here at Great Oaks, and

Jesus teaching evangelism classes here on Sunday afternoons have been a great encour-

agement to the evangelistic spirit of our Spanish-speakers. We will miss both of these cou-

ples very much! In their final bilingual Sunday here, Jesus will present our Lord’s Supper

devotional, and Carlos will teach the Spanish Bible class and will again be our translator

for the worship as he has done so often these past 2 years. We appreciate these men and

their constant willingness to serve in God’s kingdom.

The 12 Questions Memphis website

and advertising begin this week!

some business cards, and help us get the message out!

2) Visit 12questionsmemphis.com - look around the website, and feel free to put in a question that you would

ask God.

3) Find 12 Questions Memphis on social media! We have 12 Questions Memphis accounts on Facebook,

Twitter, Instagram, Google+…go to them and click like or follow. Help us share 12 Questions messages with

your friends online.

vice teams are in the lobby.

5) Tell a friend about 12 Questions Memphis!

6) Make plans to be here July 12-15!
