Academy Prep-Graduate Support Program Sr. Anne Dougherty, OSF, Tampa, FL awarded $1,000 The goal of Academy Prep’s Graduate Support Program is “to ensure that our graduates have the tools and resources needed to successfully graduate High School and College.” A majority of the students come from low-income homes and the fees associated with private schools often hinder the student’s success. This grant removed the financial barrier so the graduates were able to attend phenomenal educational institutes. With your support, Academy Prep has been able to eliminate potential barriers to achieve success for our students. There are currently 96 students in private schools, public schools and college. Your commitment is truly helping break the cycle of poverty for these students. ST. The Center For Environmental Transformation (CFET) Sr. Rosemarie Kolmer, OSF, Camden, NJ, awarded $5,000

Each year the CFET hosts over a dozen retreats. Hundreds of youth and young adults from all over the region come to study how to better love their neighbor by choosing daily “what to eat, how to save energy and reduce waste.” Through the St. Elizabeth Mission Society grant, the Center was able to replace 15 cracked, outdated, single pane windows with new efficient double pane windows. This has transformed the building into a retreat center that practices what it preaches through conserving energy by reducing the cost of heating.
