My dearest Prayer Warriors,

Who knew these pandemic restrictions would last until now? I certainly

didn’t.

But here I am, just as you are. With the Good News and Not-so-good

News. The good news is that we are getting better at ZOOM and the not-

so-good news is that we can’t come to our lovely Church. The good news

is that we are getting more involved in communication skills and the not-

so-good news is that we still have to absorb in order to reach all of you in

meaningful ways.

Here, I give a standing ovation to all of you for not freaking out about the

COVID-19! I heard it in news and from my friends that this horror made a

few very self-centered and isolationist and made them to forget their

neighbors. It brought out our ugliest sides and the real you. But I am

proud of you, because none of you responded in those ways.

I’m so blessed to see our “MEMBERS IN MEDICAL & OTHER

ESSENTIAL FIELD” serving the community. I’m honored to see our

members giving a helping hand to our elderly sector. I’m grateful to those

who have encouraged others by your phone calls and constant supports.

I’m also indebted to those who were tuned to the “Stay at home” chant to

keep the virus at bay.

You know it for sure, but this is just to wake ME up. (I) have one life to

live and it is to be spent in godly views and deeds (you can put your name

in those brackets, if you like). As we turn to our PCP to treat us, we should

understand that we have another guiding light from another world who

loves us beyond our physical security and comfort. This divine physician

laid down his own life (just like our Medical friends who lost their life,

during their Service to the community) so that we could live without fear

and anxiety. It is He who went willingly into the pangs of death, came out

triumphantly and now gives us the hope of resurrection.

We will get through this together with God from whom all blessings flow.

The joyful days are coming! Love you all.

Holy Week Services

Worship services conducted via Zoom and YouTube during the Holy week as detailed below:

Palm Sunday: Matins service on April 5 (Sunday) at 10:45 a.m.

Special Worship Services: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (April 6 - 8) at 7:30 p.m.

Maundy Thursday: On Thursday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m.

Good Friday: On Friday, April 10, at 10 a.m.

Easter Sunday: Matins service on April 12 (Sunday), at 10:45 a.m.

Mission Sunday

We will observe Sunday, June 7th as Mission Sunday. Offerings collected through special envelopes on that day will be used for helping mission works and also to help those who are in need.

Mother’s Day

We will celebrate Sunday, May 10th as Mother’s Day. All the mothers in our church will be honored during the worship service.

Note:

You are all aware of the restrictions we have for the meetings at the church due to the Corona Virus Pandemic. So, as of now, we are forced to cancel all the programs at the Church and the regional programs for May. We are still waiting for the County and State guidelines. Till then, we will have the worship service and other special programs on Zoom video and audio conferencing and also on YouTube (CSI Seaford Church Streaming). This will help us keep in touch and also to pray as a church for the deliverance from this horrifying plague that spread all over the world.

Obituary Our beloved member, Mrs. Mariamma Philipkutty, 82 years, was

called to eternity, on Thursday, April 16th at 8:25 a.m. She was a spiritual woman and actively participated in all the programs conducted by us in and outside the church. She was also a very active member of our Women's Fellowship. Mrs. Mariamma Philipkutty was greatly loved and dearly missed. Please uphold her children, Mr. Roy Philip, Mr. Alex Philip, Mr. Robin Philip and Ms. Roselin Philip in your prayer.

Mrs. Kunjannamma Thomas (Mallapally, Kerala), 80 years, sister-in-law of Mr. Koruthu C. Kinatukara (Commack, NY) was called to the heavenly abode on Wednesday, April 22nd.

Mrs. Alice Mathew (Staten Island, N.Y.), 65 years, sister-in-law of Mrs. Alice Oommen (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) went to eternity on Saturday, May 2nd.

Our heartfelt condolences to the grieving families. May the divine peace of God be upon the family members.
