Transient Current Cycling Test
At an elapsed time of 0.25s on-time, the current shall fall to a value between 1.25IR and 1.35IR. During the first 10s of
each cycle, the steady-state current shall never fall below 0.5IR. Then, apply the current up to 50000 cycles.

For the temperature rise test, apply a current of 0.7 I for the fuse-links with the rated current (I ) less than 60 A and the R Rcurrent of 0.5 I for those of 60 A or more for 40 minutes. The temperature rise shall not exceed 50 °C.

Resistance Against Temperature Shock
Vibration Durability Test
For the thermal shock resistance test, the fuse-link shall undergo the following thermal shock cycle for 48 times
repeatedly.
· Leave the test pieces inside the room at (-30±2) °C for 30 minutes.
· Move then to another room at (100±2°C) within 15 seconds and leave them for 30 minutes.
· Move them back to the original room at (-30±2) °C within 15 seconds. One cycle shall be 60 minutes.
Ambient temperature: 23±5 °C
Acceleration: 17g
The vibration frequency shall be increased from 10Hz to 500 Hz and then returned to 10Hz again at an even pace for
approximately 1 minute and it shall be applied in 3 directions that mutually cross at right angles (2 of them shall be
horizontal) for 4 hours for each direction.

· The altitude of the site of installation of the fuses does not exceed 2 000 m above sea level;
· The air is clean and its relative humidity does not exceed 50 % at the maximum temperature of 40°C;
· Higher relative humidities are permitted at lower temperatures, e.g. 90 % at 20°C;
· Under these conditions, moderate condensation may occasionally occur due to variation in temperature.
