Sick of the Treadmill? The Art of Fitness

Exercise while taking in the beauty of the Sculpture Garden during your next visit to the JCC. Not only will you view magnificent sculptures in a wonderful setting, but the health benefits are an additional bonus. Meet your friends in the Garden for culture, exercise, and camaraderie!

Walking around the Sculpture Garden Path:

8x inner loop = 1 mile7x outer loop = 1 mile

Imagine a Sculpture in Your HomeEver look at a sculpture and wonder how it would look in your home? Diane did just that when she visited the JCC Sculpture Garden. She was interested in a Moira Geoffrion sculpture and asked Betsy Cowan (JCC Director of Arts & Culture) about it.

Buying a piece of art is a major investment, so a JCC photographer went to her home and took pictures of locations she was thinking about placing the sculpture. Back at the JCC, our designer took those photos and using Photoshop, inserted the sculpture into the photos of her backyard so Diane could see how the piece would look. She loved it and purchased the sculpture.

If you are considering a piece for your home or business, please contact Betsy Cowan at 299-3000 x106 or [email protected] and she can answer any questions you might have.

Thank you to Fleming’s for Sponsoring this Event!

Send a Kid To CampWe would like to thank all of the families who donated to the 2010 Send a Kid to Camp scholarship fund. So far we have raised over $9,000 for summer camp scholarships. This helped the JCC to leverage additional funds and give away in excess of $40,000 in financial assistance to families who needed help to be able to participate in camp this summer. Thanks to our donors, many children will have the opportunity to experience Camp J. There is still a need, so if you would like to make a contribution, please contact Julie at 299-3000 x243 or [email protected].

Advertising with Sports

DisplayThe JCC is happy to be work-ing with Sports Display, Inc., an independent vendor offering ad-vertising opportunities on the electronic bulletin board adja-cent to the Courtesy Desk in the Sports and Wellness area. While the Sports Display, Inc. company compensates the JCC for the op-portunity to use this space and gives us a chance to promote some of our own programs, we want our members and support-ers to know that advertisers are not directly supporting the JCC when they purchase advertising from Sports Display. The JCC has many sponsorship and advertising options for anyone interested in directly supporting our programs.

To advertise with Sports Display, Inc. contact (800) 432-2206.
