Montreal UkuleleBob Mason
This piece was assembled from a Montreal cigar box, a tin can to act as a resonator, a hand-shaped neck fretted
with wire scraps and adorned with a metal fleur de lis, tuners from a retired guitar, and eyelets for sounding
holes. I was taught the basics of ukulele construction in a high school art class and later learned to play, and build
my own ukuleles.
