Volunteer Newsletter

The holiday season is upon us and I would like to wish each and everyone a season full of love, togetherness, family, friends and happiness.

Speaking of happiness, December is the official kick off of our Broadway series! Kinky Boots is sure to get the rest of the season “kick”-started. This month is also full of family filled fun from the Nutcracker to the Sound of Music!

We continue to make great headway towards our goals by completing almost 5500 volunteer hours, and accomplishing our second FULLY STAFFED OPERA of the season! Only 8 more to go to make our “Vibrant@10”goals of ten fully staffed operas for the season and 9 more to reach the goal of 10 shows with perfect attendance in either the KCH or ZBOH!

Keep up the great work!

Sincerely,

Nicole

UPCOMING TRAININGS Volunteer tickets are a

benefit for your service. Box Office assigns the seats as best as possible

within the Volunteer Services budget.

A few reminders:

1. The earlier your request is in, the better.

2. Requests need to be in a minimum seven days

prior to a show.

3. Once tickets have been processed, they can be

transferred to family and friends, however, they

cannot be returned.

4. Tickets cannot be resold.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and

enjoy the show!

Please do not leave open cans of soda or beverages in the refrigerators.

When the refrigerator door closes, it causes the open drink to spill and makes the refrigerators sticky.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Security and Volunteer

Services are teaming up

in an effort to keep the

Arsht family and its

guests as safe as possible.

Moving forward, any

volunteer that is working

on behalf of the Arsht

Center (ushers, adminis-

trative, marketing sup-

port etc. ) must be

dressed in either the

standard usher uniform

or the red volunteer shirt

with black slacks/jeans/

or skirt. This will help

security be able to easily

identify volunteers while

on the premises. Please

pay attention to the extra

event sign up e-mails

and/or confirmations to

ensure that you have the

correct attire for any

given event. Thank you

in advance for your

cooperation. 4

GIVE MIAMI DAY! On November 19th the Arsht Center, along with many other charities in

Miami, participated in Give Miami Day. The day was full of music, fun

and games all in efforts to

raise money for our

educational programs. The

Arsht Center raised $45,443

and ended up ranking 6th

out of 600 non-profits

raising money on Give

Miami Day.

Liz, Jivana, Brenda and

Karen helped to make the day run smoothly….and even participated in

some of the days events!!
