Volunteer Opportunities
Maintain a file containing all your volunteer opportunities including a brief description, requirements, and date/time requirements, and ACS contact information. Utilize this file to easily update current sites and opportunities as well as when creating new site listings by copying and pasting directly onto the sites.
Crosslistings
• The state volunteer website, www.volunteerca.gov, gets its listings from the United Way volunteer sites.
• Americorp gets their listings from several other sites including Idealist.org and Volunteer Match. Listing on one or two of these sites should result in your listings being available on most of the major sites.
In Conclusion…
This presentation was meant to give you an overview and show the potential benefits of utilizing these sites. Each area needs to spend time researching the various agencies and resources available to them. If you are aware of any sites that should be included within these pages, please let me know – [email protected].
