1 Introduction VOLUTANK is a variant of the system PETRODAT 3002 integrating elec-tronical dispsticks, a quality assurance system (QSS) and a theft monitoring system (SPD). By means of system VOLUTANK, all processes and operating sequences to load and unload mineral oil trucks of the danger categories A1 and A3 can be monitored, registered and controlled. The system VOLUTANK consists of several individual components inter-communicating via a serial fieldbus (P-NET). The controller is the central operating and information unit of the system. This documentation describes the operation of the system with controller software EDS 1.13. The actual operation at the vehicle depends on the equipment installed there and on the configuration of the controller software. For the configuration of the system, see configuration instructions (VO-LUTANK, Configuration of version EDS 1.13).

5 Delivery operation Order of operation and scope of operation during the delivery depend on the respective equipment and on the software configuration. The general se-quence and the utilisation of the individual functions will be desribed below. Due to a different facility configuration and a different software update, the sequence and the screen shots may differ slightly from your facility. If a printer different from the configured one is available when the facility is turned on (e.g. due to the replacement of the tractor where the printer is lo-cated), there will be a query whether this printer shall be used. The driver has to confirm this query. Then the available printer will be used by the VO-LUTANK facility.

5.1 Turn on the facility After the facility has been turned on (via the ignition switch of the truck, the series device or a separate switch), the controller first carries out a setup program. Any messages that appear have to be confirmed. If the option ”data capt.“ is turned on (configuration/options/data capt.:ON), a disk icon in the basic menu shows whether data is available for being col-lected or copied to a storage cassette. The icon blinks during access to the internal drive.

5.2 Tour beginning Press softkey [tour begin] in main menu. Depending on the configuration, there is the query whether the vehicle check has been carried out (parame-ter config./sequence parameters → vehicle check: ON). The tour can only be started if this query has been confirmed with „YES“.

Then the menu for the tour beginning appears (depending on the configura-tion: parameter config./sequence parameters → TB dialog: ON).

Page 16: Volutank EDS1.13 BA 060120 e · VOLUTANK Bedienungsanleitung, Version EDS 1.13 060120 1 Introduction VOLUTANK is a variant of the system PETRODAT 3002 integrating elec-tronical dispsticks,

Tour Tour number (max. 4 digits) Driver Driver number (max. 6 digits) Odometer current odometer reading (max. 6 digits) if required, the entries of the previous tour can be adopted, otherwise they have to be overwritten. The tour beginning dialog can also be skipped if this has been defined in the configuration (parameter config./sequence parameters/ TB dialog: OFF).

5.2.1 Loading If the SAFE scanner has not been configured or is not activated on the truck, product selection for loading is carried out among all products that are pos-sible. There is no restriction via the SAFE parameters, as this menu is com-pletely inapplicable in the configuration.

If a product of another sort is still in the compartment (the corresponding re-sidual quantity sensor signals ”comp. not empty“), there will be an alert mes-sage. You can abort the action or carry it out by confirming the message.

Page 17: Volutank EDS1.13 BA 060120 e · VOLUTANK Bedienungsanleitung, Version EDS 1.13 060120 1 Introduction VOLUTANK is a variant of the system PETRODAT 3002 integrating elec-tronical dispsticks,

After the product selection (=assignment of product identification codes to the compartments), the products, the status message of the residual quantity sensor, the states of the bottom valves, the compartment status and the fill-ing levels of all compartments are displayed.

The loading menu can only be quit after the configured time for removing gas has expired. If this is not the case, an information appears. The remain-ing time is counted down.

5.2.2 Print loading data After the loading menu has been quit, a voucher with the loading data is printed, provided that this option has been configured (parameter config./ slip parameters / loading print→ ON). Compensated loadings will only be printed if the data recording takes place in DIN format (parameter config. / data capt. / parameters / DIN → ON). The options data acquisition and office connection must be activated. The loading data is only recorded when the loading menu is quit. If the sup-ply voltage is interrupted before the loading menu is quit, no data will be re-corded. In this case it is not possible to print the loading data. Press [F_12] to print a copy of the slip with the loading data as long as no new tour has been started. After quitting the loading menu, press [F_12] to print a slip with the loading data even if the automatic printing has not been configured.

After you have confirmed the number, and provided that it has been config-ured (parameter config./slip parameters/ customer address), the input mask for the entry of the customer address appears. You can enter the customer´s address. It will be printed on the delivery slip. Depending on the configuration, after confirming the customer num-ber/address you can select the printing form (configuration; parameter con-fig./slip parameters/printing form).

Select special function “man.add.” The list of configured additives will appear in the display.

After selecting and confirming an additive/case, enter the quantity to be de-livered. The quantity is related to the quantity unit configured for the product (liter, kg, piece etc.), (configuration: parameter config./ product data/ unit). Any products delivered in pieces have to be configured as additive (case) with price type 0. The price is calculated in accordance with the delivered number of pieces. For products of price type 1, the price is generated per quantity unit. If a product of price type 1 is configured with case contents, the number of pieces is entered. The quantity is calculated automatically (pieces • cases contents). For products of price type 2, the configured fixed price is calculated.
