Privatization times - August 2003

Starting from scratch and cleaning the balance sheet

• In past times, VMS was a regional leader with reputation and uncontested market share

• The status is lost with 15 years of turmoil in ex Yugoslavia

• VMS was State-owned through Min Holding (Masinska Industrija Nis)

• It is located in Nis, 250 km South-East of Belgrade

• Vossloh Min Skretnice was privatized in August 2003

• Activities:

turnouts manufacturing for Railways and Tram networks

spare parts for railways and tramway networks

• Minimal revenues

Five years later ...

VMS is a recognized player in the Balkan market

• VMS has regained its status of a regional leader

• The company went through a drastic turnaround process:

rationalization of workforce, 120 in total today

modernization of facility and equipment (CNC milling machine)

reconquest of clients

• VMS has currently strong market shares in the region

• It has become also a subcontracting base for VCSA

• ISO certification obtained in March 2008

About us …

VOSSLOH MIN SKRETNICE are registered manufacturer for complete construction and production of turnouts, crossings and crossovers. A long standing work on this production program, did that factory completely master of contemporary technicly and technology demands for production of this railway superstructure object, witch completely satisfy UIC 860 i J.Ž.S standards.

Especially significant progress in mastering of new technology turnouts production VOSSLOH MIN SKRETNICE was made from when are in VOSSLOH Switch System group, witch is the best identifier production more than one hundred switch parts and large number of complete turnouts, witch exported to foreign market according to most contemporary standards.

Personnel

VMS have own design department. Team of engineer and technicians, implement with the latest hardware and software solutions ( latest computers generation and software packets for design ( AutoCAD 2008 ), the most complex project tasks for designing turnouts and the rest production elements of our plant.

ISO Sertificat

As result of long years of experience and improvements of production after privatization, culmination of everything was obtaining the ISO sertificat in April of 2008 godine.

This sertificat will more forwarded efforts of VMS company in achieving european and worlds standards in railway turnouts and all other side elements production

Modern Technology

One good example of modern technology witch is implementing in VMS-u with help of VOSSLOH grupe :

• Cast monoblock frog manufactured according to UIC 866-0 and EN 15689 standards.

• Cast monoblock frog is consist of 12-14 % manganese steel according to UIC866-0 prEN 15689.
