Mission Analysis & Program Management
• Research institutions often have need for data-gathering, for which an unmanned system is optimized.
• While the scientists involved are experts in their scientific endeavor, generally they are not unmanned systems experts.
• Our experience and expertise allows our clients to focus on the desired outcome of their mission and lets us take care of the rest.
• As a fully integrated program management provider, we also can help assess the success of the mission.

Tier 2
Haiti Earthquake – Experience gained from a small UAS team deployed to Port Au Prince to aid in the emergency recovery in Haiti. •Integrate new technology into a chaotic emergency situation, helping support disaster relief efforts in real time. •American missionary organization required the status of the children and their health stranded in a mountainous region. •Modifying the mission profile and flying to the remote region, we made the aerial assessment in real-time with onboard surveillance equipment.

Our Experience
CAL Fires - Experience gained in the Winter 2007, VT Unmanned Systems, then Evergreen Unmanned Systems, coordinated with The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL Fires) and other agencies to craft a UAV operation for the 2008 summer fire season. •Define a template and a process to integrate UAVs into a dynamic emergency environment. •Provide a concept of operation (CONOP) that could be applied to fire emergencies nationally. •CONOP and a process was put in place to allow a “template Certification of Authorization (COA)” to be placed over an existing fire scalable to the temporary flight restriction (TFR).
Shell Oil in the Arctic – VT Group FSR’s participated in the setup and execution of flight operations at sea in the Arctic Circle for Shell Oil. •Assisted Shell Oil tracking and monitoring marine mammals to ensure their migration patterns were uninterrupted by drilling operations. •Goal was to legitimize the use of unmanned aircraft to achieve the same objectives of the manned aircraft in tracking marine life, while minimizing the risk to personnel.
