Vietnam International Textile & Garment Industry Exhibition 2015
successfully ended on 24th October in Ho Chi Minh City.
This year, VTG reached a new record of more than 200 exhibitors covering
300 booths from 15 countries and regions; occupied over 7,500 and houses
comprehensive sets of machineries featuring high performance, automation
and diverse range of textile, apparel, accessories, fibers, filaments, yarns and
fabrics that meet the individual market needs in Vietnam.

I spent a long time looking at the embroidery machines they set
up at the stands; and I was surprised at how much time visitors
spend at this show. It may because people are visually included in
the exhibit space with all the machineries.

3. SEMINAR
Ms. Bui Kim Thuy, emissary of Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry
& Trade’s Foreign Trade Agency noted in VTG 2015 Seminar
that opportunities are huge under the affection of FTAs, however
it is crucial for exporter and importer to follow the rules of origin
as committed to fully tap the potential, as it would ensure the
appropriate balance between ‘Trade Facilitation’ and ‘Trade
Fraud Prevention’.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of Vietnam
Cotton & Spinning Association (VCOSA), has pronounced
in VTG 2015 Seminar, that Textile & Garment Industry
Production Scale in Asia will expand 2.4% by 2030,
accounting for over 60 % of global outputs. He has also
mentioned that Vietnamese Textile & Garment Sector is
fortunately big and TPP & FTAs will turn Vietnam into a
primary destination for the global supply chain and open up
huge opportunities for the domestic garment industry.
