    To either of the Constables of the Town of Ipswich,

    O-IRDEIETIOsra-.

    In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are here-by required to notify and warn the legal voters of said town to meet at theTown House on Wednesday, the eleventh day of March current, at nineo'clock, A. M. for the following purposes, viz:

    Art. 1. To choose a Moderator.Art. 2. To choose all necessary Town Officers for the ensuing year,

    and grant such pay for their services as the town think properArt. 3. To hear and act on the reports of Committees.Art. 4. To raise money for the support of the High and Common

    Schools, and determine the manner of apportioning the same.Art. 5. To raise money to repair the highways and determine the

    manner of apportioning the same.Art. 6. To raise such sums of money as may be necessary to defray all

    town charges for the ensuing year.Art. 7. To see what compensation shall be allowed the Enginemen the

    ensuing year.Art. 8. To see what discount, if any, shall be allowed to those persons

    who pay their taxes before the prescribed time of payment.Art. 9. To see if the town will authorize the Treasurer to hire money

    in anticipation of taxes.

    Art. 10. To see if the town authorize the Prudential Committees to con-tract with the teachers in the several school districts the ensuin^ vear.

    Art. 11 To grant such sums of money to be raised upon the polls andestates within the town, for the purpose of defraying tbe debts of the townand for the expenses of the current year, as may be deemed expedient andmake all necessary regulations and allowances respecting the same.

    Wo fiud that the system of keeping the accounts ofthe town in the several departments is not such as iscommendable for accuracy or dispatch, which may be ac-counted for in part, as the town is unwilling to pay theSelectmen, Assessors and Overseers a sufficient salary forthe services which they are called upon to perform. Wefind by their bills that are on file, that they have charged

    one hundred dollars more than the salary voted them,for extra services, but what those extra services werewe are unable to ascertain, as they give us no informa-tion by their bills.

    In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are beieby le-

    quired to notify ard warn the legal voters of said town to meet at the 1 own Bouse

    on Wednesday, the 20th day of March ci rrent, at nine o'clock, A. M.. for thefollow-

    ing purposes, viz :

    Abt. 1. To choose a Moderator.

    Art. 2. To choose all necessary Town Officers fcr the ensuing year, and grant

    them such pay for their services as the town may think proper.

    Abt. 3. To hear and act on the reports of Committees.

    Art. 4. To raise money for the support of the Bigh and Common Schools, and

    determine the manner of apportioning the same.

    Art. 5. To raise money to repair the highways, ard detei mine the manner of

    apportioning the same.

    Art. 6. To raise such sums of money as may he nece-sary to defray all tewn

    charges for the ensuing year.

    Art. 7. To see what compensation shall be allowed the Enginemen the ensuing

    year.

    Art. 8. To see what discount, if any, shall be allowed to those persons wfc o pay

    their taxes before the presciibed time ot payment.

    Art. 9. To see it the town will authorize the Treasurer to hire money in antici-

    pation of taxes.

    Art. 10. To see what sums of money, if any, the town will raise for the aid of

    the families of volunteers, as by Jaw authorized.

    Art. 11. To see if the town will authorise tbe Fiudential Committees to con-

    tract with the teachers in the several school districts the ensuing year.

    Art. 18. To see what action the town will take as legaids building a new Hi£h

    School House, and to raise money for that purpose.

    Art. 19. To see if the town will accept the road leading from Baker's Causeway

    to Lakeman's Beach.

    Art. 20. To see if the town will authoiize a suit to he commencedagainst cer-

    tain paities that owe the town.

    And you are hereby directed to serve this warrant by posting up attested copiesof

    the same at each of the meetinghouses, and at theschool house in the Koith North

    District in said town, three dayfl 1 1 least leiore the timeof said meeting.

    Bereof fail not, and make due return of this warrant to the Town Clerkat the

    time and place of said meeting.
