- Maharashtra witnesses interstate, inter-district & cross border trafficking of women & children for commercial sexual exploitation
- As per NHR reports 17 districts are found as source areas

Bangladesh and jurisdiction is being
expanded very soon
A Special court for dealing with the
cases of immoral trafficking only, has
been established in Mumbai and

• 7 Protective home(2 Mumbai, 1 Thane , 1 Pune, 2 Nagpur 1 Nandurbar) and 5 Special rehabilitation centers(2 Mumbai, 1 Pune, 2 Thane ) with capacity of 615
• Other than the minor victims are admitted in children home and majors are admitted in women shelter home where the protective home or Special rehabilitation centers are not established
• 8 Proposals of implementing UJJWALA scheme are under consideration for licensing as protective home under sec 21 of ITPA
• 7597 rescued girls and women are admitted during last six years 87 percent are from out of the state and country
• 3018 victims are send to their origin during last three years
• 12 anti trafficking units have been established

Bal Sangopn Yojana Family Based Scheme of Bal Sangopan-
Bal Sangopan Yojana (BSY) aims to strengthen support services for children at the family level thus reducing institutionalization of children.

Victim was fall in love and got married Left by Husband was with parents Got sick and treatment in Taluka Hospital Met with the person who assured her to have
better treatment. Took her away and gave water for drinking She was unconscious and woke-up in Pune Handed over to other women and sold Rescued and repatriated with in one month
Case No 3
Employed in company getting Rs. 600/- per month While returning from Grand Mother’s house met
with known girl Went to uncle’s house and from there came to
Pune for better Job. Sold in brothel Beaten and tortured by brothel manager and finally
became CSW Temporarily Shifted to Shirdi for 1 month Rescued but not repatriated due to incomplete
address
Case No 4
After father’s death living with her mother who worked as a house keeper
Wanted to earn money. Interacted with a boy who assured her to have better job and promise to marry.
Brought her in Mumbai and handed over to other person.
The person brought her in Pune kept in hotel for 1 day and sold her
The brothel manager dumped her in a small room for six years
Rescued by Police in some other raid Still to be repatriated
