Store owner Molly Sweeney apprenticed in furniture design in L.A., and after returning to Vancouver and having kids, decided to ply her trade refinish- ing furniture at her new shop. “The store has great furniture and accessories, a little bit of everything: funky, vintage, charming and nostalgic,” Molly says. vintage furniture “The beds here are all vintage, and most of them are refinished,” says Molly. Starting at $395 for a twin, they go up to $985, depending on the amount of refin- ishing involved and whether they have detailing such as caning. Dressers start at $365, and are painted in adorable, nostalgia-influenced tones, like sweet pinks with floral panels, or a retro green-and-white combo. salad dressing Decorate a child’s room with lamps sophisticated enough for adult tastes, from $75 each. Rest assured, the kids will love browsing the store, from the books (we spotted Where the Wild Things Are ) to the stuffed animals (like a puppy) made from old quilts, from $45 each.
