GUESTS:

GENERAL: All Members (ages 12+) must bringtheir membership card each timethey wish to access the park, lake,or Auburn House facility - not justone card per family.No child under 12 is permitted inthe park without adult supervision.No dogs or animals of any type,glass, smoking, or alcoholpermitted.Bicycles, scooters, rollerblades,skateboards, etc. are not allowed inthe park.Jumping or diving from any of theABRA's boats or docks isprohibited.Open fires are not permitted.Charcoal briquettes only may beused in the barbeques.Members are requested to refrainfrom using foul language in thepark and rambunctious/unsafebehaviour will not be tolerated.

Members will assume full responsibility for their guests' actions at all times and members must be present at alltimes while their guests are using the facility/park.Adult members are permitted up to 5 guests per household. Members' children (12-16), entering the park withoutan adult, are permitted up to 2 guests per household (with signed parental consent). All guests must be signed inwith the Customer Service Representative before entering the facility/park.For more than 5 guests, a Guest List form must be completed and returned to the Auburn House AdministrativeOffice at least 48 hours prior to your event for approval.Guest Lists are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Auburn House accepts a maximum of 5 Guest Lists perday (not including Picnic Shelter rentals).Members may submit up to 2 Guest Lists per household per summer season (June 1 - Sept. 30) at no charge. Eachadditional Guest List costs $30.00+GST (not including Picnic Shelter rentals).Members are permitted to submit 1 Guest List per household per day.ABRA has the right to decline any large group.Guest List forms are available from the Administration Office and on AuburnBayRA.ca The maximum number ofguests is 25.Note - infants who are mobile must be counted as guests.

ICE SAFETYLay down on the ice.Crawl or roll back to land.Teach children to call for help loudand clear if they are in trouble.Kids: check with a responsible adultbefore heading onto or near ice.

Check that the ice is smooth and atleast 10 cm (4 inches) thick. Checkwith local authorities for moreinformation on ice thickness.The ABRA posts our lake's icethickness on AuburnBayRA.caUnderstand that ice is oftenunpredictable.In spring weather, thick ice is notnecessarily safe. During springmelt, impurities in the ice melt veryquickly, creating weak spots.Ice seldom freezes or thaws at anequal rate.If in doubt, don't go out!

Obey all signs posted on or nearice.Ensure that children only play onor near ice while a responsibleadult supervises.Use the buddy system - never walkon ice alone.

Phone 911.Call out the self-rescue steps.Push or throw something (longstick, rope, floating aid) that thevictim can use to get out of thewater or float on.

Float on your stomach, facing theshore.Reach forward onto the ice - do notpush down on it.Kick your legs to slowly push yourtorso onto the ice.Crawl or roll away from the hole.Get medical help immediately. Ifyou can't climb onto the ice, float inthe water and call for help loudand clear.

GYMNASIUM RULES ANDGUEST POLICY

All users must check in at the office before entering the gymnasium. All users must act in a safe and responsible manner. Profanity and/or abusive language is prohibited. Shoes with non-marking soles only. No socked or bare feet, flip flops,or sandals. Indoor shoes ONLY - please remove outdoor shoes before enteringthe gymnasium. Shirts must be worn at all times. No food or drink (except water). Bicycles, rollerblades, scooters, skateboards, etc. are prohibited. Soccer is NOT permitted. No outdoor hockey sticks or pucks permitted. No gymnasium equipment permitted on the stage or mezzanine. You may need to sign out equipment from the office using yourmembership card. Drop-in gym users - please help with the setup and take down of gymequipment (including nets and poles). Thank you! Please respect designated drop-in times. The ABRA does NOT provide supervision for gymnasium use. ABRA staff will evict any user displaying unacceptable behaviour ofany kind. Adult members are permitted to bring up to 5 guests per householdand youth members (12-15 years old, with written parental consent)are permitted to bring up to 2 guests per household to any OpenGym time or Drop-In program. Adult guests attending Open Gym Drop-In - $5/guest/day. Youth guests (under 18 years old) attending Open Gym Drop-In -$2/guest/day. Members and guests will enter and use the gymnasium at their ownrisk. In all matters, whether or not specifically covered herein, courtesyand common sense shall prevail.

DO YOU HAVEYOURMEMBERSHIPCARD?All residents (ages 12+) MUST have theirmembership card to access any of the AuburnHouse facilities, including the gymnasium.Youth (ages 12-15) must have written parentalconsent to access the facilities without anadult. Auburn House must see a copy of your Certificateof Title as well as government issued photo I.D.with the Auburn Bay address on it in order for youto receive your permanent membership card. Stopby Auburn House with these documents today!

The ABRA reserves the right to cancel any programs with insufficient registration. Full refunds will begranted or you may transfer to another program (space permitting).Requests to withdraw from a program:

Not all classes are eligible for drop-in passes to be used. Look for the           symbol beside eligible classes. Drop in passes are not applicable for progressive programs, specialty, or child/youth programs. Drop-in passes cannot be used for an entire session of one individual program. Participants may check in no more than 30 minutes prior to the start time of the class. Drop-in participantswill be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. These policies can be modified by the ABRA at any time, at our discretion, without notice.

Refunds will be issued for medical reasons and will be pro-rated at the time of the withdrawal request. Adoctor's note must be presented.Refunds will not be issued for participants who are unable to attend rescheduled make-up classes.

*Refunds are issued by account credit to use toward another Auburn House program. Credits are valid for one (1)year from the issue date. Alternative refunds are subject to a $15.00 administrative fee.

Drop-in passes are valid for 1 year from purchase.You MUST check in with your ABRA membership card at the front desk. ABRA staff will stamp your drop-in passand give you a date stamped attendance slip.  Give this slip to the instructor. Instructors will not permit anyoneto attend class without a drop-in attendance slip.Space available for drop-ins ONLY if a class does not fill with registered partipants.All passes are non-replacable (don't lose it!), non-refundable, and non-transferrable.

Seven (7) or more days prior to the first day of the program will be granted a refund withno penalty.*Less than seven (7) days prior to the first day of the program will be granted a 50%refund.*On the program start date to within 48 hours after the first class of the program will begranted a 25% refund (not applicable to one-day programs - no refunds will be grantedwithin 48 hours before the start date of the scheduled program).*

Admission to the public is free; however, we kindly request food donations, which will be collected on behalf of theCalgary Food Bank. Please bring cash for purchases as exhibitors may not have credit/debit machines. There is NO ATM on site. Please visit AuburnBayRA.ca or our Facebook page for all event details.

Letters to Santa will be accepted at Auburn House and willbe sent express to the North Pole! Letters to Santa will be accepted beginning November 23.Drop off your letter to Santa at Auburn House on or beforeDecember 12 to ensure Santa has enough time to write youback! Be sure to include a return address. Please Note - Return letters may be required to be picked up atAuburn House pending a Canada Post strike. Pick up notices willbe sent via email.
