Kanha National Park is considered by some as India’s greatest park and provides a diverse habitat to support many mammal and bird species. The densely forested hills of sal and bamboo, grassy plateaus and extensive meadows in the valleys make an attractive setting for a safari. The sheer size and re-moteness also means that Kanha is often less busy than other parks. The main wildlife attractions in the park are tiger, bison, gaur, sambhar, chital, more pictures.... baras-ingha, barking deer, black deer, black buck, chousingha, nilgai, mouse deer, sloth bear, jackal fox, por-cupine, hyena, jungle cat, python, pea fowl, hare, monkey, mongoose, tiger, and leopard. Pench National Park on the border of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra has been known through the ages for its rich flora and fauna. Named after the river that flows nearby, Pench was declared a Wild-life Sanctuary in 1983, though it had been declared a notified area in 1972. In1992 Pench was included under the umbrella of Project Tiger as the 19th Project Tiger Reserve. The area is especially famous for large herds of Gaur (Indian Bison), Cheetal, Sambar, Nilgai, Wild Dog and Wild Pig. The key predator is the Tiger followed by Leopard, Wild Dog and Wolf. Other ani-mals include Sloth Bear, Chousingha, Chinkara, Barking Deer, Jackal, Fox, Palm Civet, Small Indian Civet, Jungle Cat, Hyena, Porcupine etc. Accommodation: Bagh Van Taj Wilderness/Bhanvan Pench National Park

Ranthambore National Park is located near the town of Sawai Madhopur, which is around 180 km south

east of Jaipur in Rajasthan. The park derives its name from the 11th century fort of Ranthambhore, which

sits on a rocky outcrop in the forest. The fort was a vital citadel for the control of central India. Though

overrun by vegetation, remnants of the summer palaces, temples and guard stones within the fort still re-

main. Earlier the hunting reserve of the Maharajas of Jaipur, the park at Ranthambhore was once the scene

of royal hunting parties. Today, it is famous for its tigers and is one of the best places in the country to see

these majestic predators in the wild. Being one of the most accessible parks it is very popular and therefore

runs with strict rules and regulations. Why not consider flying above the mountain ranges of Ranthambhore

by balloon, for the ultimate bird’s eye view of the wildlife. Travelling over parts of the forest that nobody

else can tread. A wildlife lover and photographer’s dream comes true.

Kaziranga National Park in North East India is a stunning park with a great success conservation success story for the One Horned Indian Rhinoceros. Not only has the homeland of the Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros the park provided shelter to a variety of wildlife from Wild elephant to leop-ard cat and otter. A less visited park due to its location, it offers those who make the journey there a very rewarding experience. Jeep and elephant-back safaris are easily arranged and less restrictive than those in the Central Indian Parks. It is also home to India's Big Four - The Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros, the Asiatic Elephant, the Asiatic Wild Buffalo, and the Royal Bengal Tiger. If Kaziranga National Park were not so closely identified with the rhino, it would probably have become famous as one of the finest birding destina-tions in the world. In addition to numerous species of resident birds it serves as the winter visiting ground to many migratory birds
