Welcome! Thank you for joining us for the 28th annual Women of Distinction Celebration! We are excited that you have chosen to join us today as we honor these five honorees for their outstanding contributions to the Cincinnati community. Girl Scouts’ mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Essentially, we strive to build girls just like the estimable women we celebrate today. By lifting them up, we are showing our girls what true leadership and character is all about, and we encourage our girls to lead by their example.

At Girl Scouts, we are all about practicing everyday leadership, preparing girls to empower themselves, and promoting G.I.R.L (Go-Getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, and Leader) experiences. Because girls who practice leadership like a Girl Scout are more likely to reach their full potential. Again, Girl Scouts doesn’t empower girls—we prepare girls with the skills and experiences they need to empower themselves for life.

Thank you for being here today to show your support for these leaders and for your continued support of Girl Scouts and our efforts to build the G.I.R.L. leaders of tomorrow.

All our best,

Roni Luckenbill Ellen Iobst

HELP A GIRL GAIN THE SELF CONFIDENCE SHE NEEDS TO BECOME THE BORN LEADER SHE IS MEANT TO BE.

In our council, we have three camp facilities that host sleepover and resident camp. Last year, 5,000 Girl Scouts attended “sleep over” camp—a 62% increase in attendance. Sadly,

camp was not a reality for every girl, because of preexisting barriers at home—including financial limitations, transportation challenges, and costly camping supplies. At the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio, we aspire to remove the barriers to make camp a possibility for EVERY girl in our region. Be the difference and help send a girl to summer camp today!
