Guide Comb Listing
ATTACHING GUIDE COMBS Align comb onto blade, then.. . Press tab until you hear a snap.
NOTE:1) Always start with the largest guide comb, then use shorter combs if a shorter length is desired.
2) Cut only a small amount until you become accustomed to how long each guide comb leaves the hair.
3) Cut slowly and smoothly. Do not force the clipper through the hair.
Some kits do not include all Wahl guide combs. Some kits include colored guide combs forease in remembering which combs were previously used.

Get ready for cutting bycombing hair. Then attachthe largest guide comb and make sure the taperlevel is in the up position.
Begin cutting at the hairline. Using upward strokes, cut towards the middle of thehead. NOTE: If hair is longer than wanted, repeat this step with one size smallerguide comb.
Continue around the head using upward strokes.
Now you’re ready to cutthe middle section of hair.
Pick a guide comb one number higher than what you used for cutting thehairline.
Using upward strokes, cut the middle section aroundthe head.
Comb out hair to see if youneed to do any extra cutting.
Pick a guide comb one number higher than whatyou used for cutting themiddle portion of the hair. Begin cutting from the front.
Using long strokes, cutacross top of head.
Smoothing lines formed from cutting is easy. Usethe same guide comb from cutting the hairline withtaper level in down position.
Use a rocking motion toblend out middle cutline.
Use the same guide combfrom cutting top of headand blend top cutline.
Ear guide combs have ataper built right in. Lengthranges from 1/8" to 1/2".
Attach left ear guide combto your clipper. Put taper level in down position.
Hold top of the ear down.Hold clipper at a slight angle. You will begin cutting just behind earat the hairline.
Cut around the ear in anupward and then outward motion.

You don’t need anyattachments. Just close cutposition by pushing thetaper lever up.
Start by cleaning upsideburns.
Continue around each earas shown.
Clean up the necklineas shown.
Put brown trim guide onyour clipper.
Begin just above your noseand slowly trim towards theoutside of your face. NOTE: Get a closer brow trim by working from the outside of your face to your nose.
Put ear trim guide onyour clipper.
Hold your clipper at about45-degree angle. Trim slowly,moving the clipper from back to front.
