• Fill out the FAFSA application at: fafsa.gov or the California Dream Act application at: dream.csac.ca.gov

First-time, full-time student enrollment/tuition for the first year (fall and spring semesters only) will be waived (min. 12 units, max 18 units will be covered). Students will be responsible for their Universal Transit Pass fee, Student Representation fee, student parking permit, textbooks, and/or other fees.

THE LOS RIOS PROMISE

Folsom Lake College and the Los Rios Community College District are committed to serving the greater Sacramento region by removing financial barriers for students interested in pursuing higher education. We believe all students deserve a quality college education and cost should not limit access.

We “Promise” to minimize financial barriers that limited access to college by offering new, incoming, first-time college students a year of tuition-free education at any of the Los Rios colleges: American River College (ARC), Cosumnes River College (CRC), Folsom Lake College (FLC), or Sacramento City College (SCC).

STUDENT COMMITMENT

▪ Student must be a California resident [Note: AB 540/AB 2000 (Dreamer) students qualify].

▪ Student must be a first-time college student.

▪ Student must complete a college application.

▪ Student must submit a FAFSA or California Dream Act application and select/identify one of the four Los Rios colleges as college choice.

▪ Student may need to submit a Los Rios Promise Commitment Contract.

▪ Student must enroll full-time (at least 12 units) across all the Los Rios colleges and maintain this course load for fall and spring semesters.
