MISSION

The mission of the Wake Forest Alumni Travel program is to provide alumni and friends with the opportunity to tour the world, and to maintain a connection to Wake Forest and each other.

TOUR SCHEDULE

The Wake Forest Alumni Travel tour schedule is compiled from various specialized tour operators. The tour operators have met our criteria for financial responsibility, established reputation, guaranteed departures, professional staff, quality operations and dependability. We require all tour operators to carry professional liability insurance. Prices are competitive and often advantageous.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

Travel arrangements will be handled by the particular tour operator designated for each tour. Dates, itineraries, program details and costs are given in good faith based on information available at the time of this printing. THEY ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND REVISION. All trip prices are per person and are based on double occupancy and current exchange rates and tariffs unless otherwise noted.

EXPECTATIONS

Our tours are designed for those who are lively, inquisitive and eager to broaden their cultural and intellectual horizons. All tour members are expected to enjoy traveling as a part of a group and to be tolerant of the occasional changes, delays or minor mishaps that are part of any kind of travel, whether individual or group.

REFUND POLICY

Refund policies may vary slightly for certain programs, but generally are as follows: Written cancellations from time of booking up to 90 days prior to departure will be assessed an administrative fee. Within 90 days of departure, refunds vary according to the policies of each tour operator. THE ALUMNI SERVICES OFFICE IS UNABLE TO REQUEST OR PROVIDE REFUNDS FOR OUR TRAVELERS.

PLEASE READ THE CANCELLATION CLAUSES WITHIN EACH TRIP BROCHURE VERY CAREFULLY.

Failure to do so can be quite costly.

SINGLE ACCOMMODATIONS

Programs offer a limited number of single rooms, available on a first-come, first-served basis. A single supplement charge applies to these accommodations unless otherwise noted. On some cruises, the single charge can be close to double the price.

PHYSICAL CONDITIONING

Many of our programs have an outdoor component and require some walking. To enjoy the Wake Forest Alumni Travel experience, participants must be in good physical and mental health and must be able to keep up with the pace of the group. Participants who require extraordinary assistance must be accompanied by someone who can and will provide all required assistance.

REGISTRATION

Space is reserved in the order tour operators receive deposits. Deposits are applicable to payment of the program fee and will be returned if space is not available. Balance of payment is due upon receipt of final invoice from the tour operator, according to the operator’s payment schedule. If the program of your choice is fully subscribed when they receive your application, they will automatically place you on a waiting list, and will contact you if space becomes available. Should you choose to withdraw your name from the waiting list, please notify the tour operator and they will return your deposit. Some of our trips fill within two to three weeks of catalog/brochure mailing, so register early to avoid disappointment.
