Respected / Beloved / Dear Toastmasters .....

A good beginning is Equivalent to half done... studied somewhere.. I experienced and felt with the Wakra Ex-com meeting held on Thursday (31-March-2016)..

Some of my experience and feelings about my journey within Wakra Toastmasters Club....One fine day (Wednesday), when I was having my morning walk in Almuftha Village (Ezdan-2), myself and TM V R Das matched our walking speed and open up our discussion.. I really don't remember who did the ice-breaking I mean opened the table-topics on the road.. We had good discussion with two rounds.. I once again mean two rounds around the Wakra compound. TM V R Das officially invited me to his club meeting... Given some in-sights about his club.. I felt very happy and immediately accepted his offer and start thinking about his club. That day (Wednesday) evening has come. I told my wife that I am going for a meeting with one of my new friends and got ready in the suit and walked towards his house. Sharp at 6:20 I reached his house and saw he also came out with similar attire of mine. That uniformity connected myself with him a lot. 

We both started our journey in his BMW X-series. That was the second time I was in BMW next to a trip to my work site with my British Senior Director Peter (Pete).. When most of the people are comfortable to call superior as "sir" which is still expected as respect by few people all around the world, Pete is my eye opener of western modern culture who insisted me to call him Pete alias Mr Peter alias Peter sir.... He is now in UK.. Let me come to the point... I connect TM V R Das with Pete immediately. I also felt proud to have a new friend who is from my home country India and living like my UK boss Pete.. 

While he was driving the car, TM V R Das started to speak about his club and he added "Karthik today is an important day in my life. I am going to take a role called TMOD which is first time in my life.. " Honestly I felt the nervousness in him. I know he is a successful business man who is very confident in his business and career taking me to his club and telling something about new assignment TMOD for him. I really started to dream about his club which made him so nervous about the new TMOD role. He gave me some briefing about the club like there will be fun, other club member may tell you that your doing

something wrong on your face, on the spot in front of others.. You don't take it serious, they will be telling for your benefit only.. May top officials of Qatar will come to the club and will speak to you with same level or rank for that matter. You feel very high with in

you those times.. In all the circumstances there are lot of valuable lessons to be learned. So keep open mind and enjoy the club meeting and we will discuss later.

Meanwhile we went to Wakra Al-Meera brought some cakes, juices and reached Bhavans school. I have seen some new faces in coat and

suits arranging the table, hanging banners written Wakra Toastmasters Club. That time I understand this is Wakra Toastmasters club. As I was keeping open mind like parachute which I know same like only open parachute can save anybody life, I started to observe a new type of creatures in this planet which I never dreamed about. I enjoyed the complete 2 hours session same like a British curriculum, timely start, agenda on table. I know what I am going to have in next 2 hours, however every moment was enjoyable and blissful for me. I felt I was in new world of leaders, achievers all over Qatar.

After the meeting while we were coming back home, he was telling about Toastmasters club and "Karthik, if you want you can also join". I told him, I was deliberately looking for such platform. I told yes on the spot to him and joined the club..

There was a saying at my place.. You can get anything in your life but not a Wednesday. I felt that Wednesday was an auspicious and blessed day for me.If you want to have one such Wednesday, please visit us on the coming Wednesday (6-April-2016) at Bhavans School sharp at 6:55 pm..

If you have already visited, please come once again to get rejuvenated, revitalize, refresh, restore and so on... 

Remember you have to renew your residency, passport at long intervals. you have

to recharge your mobile phone at short intervals.Every person should  have long terms and short term goals.. Same way to survive in this world of competition in the economically tough situation, we have

to refresh ourselves at least every time twice a week.. Yes we meet regularly once in two weeks.Last but not the least if you still not able to make it on 6-Apr-2016, please pass this message to your good friends. Somewhere, somebody will be looking for such a golden opportunity like myself  in this world. Let us connect great minds, extraordinary people in one platformcalled Toastmasters and we have Wakra Toastmasters club at the heart of Wakra to serve the growing community in that area.
